I am GENUINELY SURPRISED by this level of SERVICES provided.
SERVICE IS THE WORST ! Foreigner guy pointed finger at me told me I ordered not one but two desserts. Yes I did the ordering around 9.40pm please check the CCTV if I ever open the dessert menu. Which I only open seafood, chicken, and soup menu. The reason why we thought the dessert was complimentary is before that my husband enquiry on the chicken corner “why is it full of bones”, but surprisingly this chicken “corner” is a joint dish with no meat. We were very dissatisfied as this food is not a food. We thought the chinese lady gave us complementary dessert but it was actually a mistake ordered from the guy waiter. Basic ordering basic common sense, cannot even admit his mistake then point finger at me. And remember this I only spoken to him once, next time don’t point your finger at my face, very rude! In fact i dont even eat thai dessert, i eaten earlier just to try, it dont be mistakenly fool by their waiter!
And please teach your service crew to at least speak english, when we first arrived there we already have a special request to sit at the hut, but the waiter ask us to sit other place, trying to explain to the waiter is like talking to wall, what a frustrated encounter pls learn at least basic english if you want to work overseas. He did not even ask if we got reservations and just walk so fast to the other side, at least great us? Not just ask how many people, headache.
Before we make a reservation, the service was very bad, hard to call and text replies is very slow, when my husband call, the guy simply reply one two words like we were actually bothering him? No simple manners, no wonder service crew also no manners.
Actually the front desk guy@caller is the owner and the way he responded to our enquiry is very very disrespectful with a lot of unnecessary face emotion showing that its our fault but in fact its his staff’s mistake!
FOOD IS INCREDIBLE TRASH chicken “corner” nothing but joint and excessive flour. salted egg squid was chewy and smells spoil, This is one of my favorite dish and believe me if I say I eat this every week and this is just the worst soggy frozen squid. Its not even fresh, I think the only fresh here is the fish swimming in the pond. Tomyum coconut soup, (sigh) we saw video on tiktok, menu and reviews it was serve in a coconut. But sadly we were serve in a metal serving bowl. Plus the bowl is very shallow. The octopus and squid very bland like they just boiled with water and mix it with the soup afterward. chicken honey was over sweetened, like how bad do you want it to be so sweet? This is a joke.
Desserts Sorry but your desserts are so bad.. I can’t even explain.
AMBIANCE is ok but would prefer not to have so noisy fans. And we realized people who came there is only celebrating their birthday not coming there for the food… but now we know why . It was very less people and apparently they have 3 birthdays at the same time with at least 5 6 open tables.
To summarized it is an awful dinner, it was supposed to be a normal dinner as we always go for food hunting, please don’t put this on your next to go Food. If you aim for the looks and grams go there but if you aim for the thai food, its a no no.
Drive 1 hour for this...
Read morethe worst management and service I've ever seen. Four days prior to the event, I made reservations for 35 guests, and everything went incredibly well. The owner was very helpful and addressed all of my questions. She called me even the day before to make a reservation for meals so that it wouldn't be delayed because it was Saturday. And I sent half of the RM 1000 deposit. On April 27, around 8:15 p.m., I arrived and saw that one of the tables was unclean. That's how the table looked at almost 8.30 p.m. And I realise that the location was packed. It was an 8.30 p.m. reservation, too. Abruptly, a woman arrived and demanded us to not sit at the third table, as they had reserved two long, rectangular tables and one more will be set up soon. But the owner promised for 3 long table. But I waited until about 8:45 p.m., but nobody was there to set the table. At 8:55p.m., I requested my family to settle down at the 3rd table first. The third table wasn't ready when the owner arrived and ordered us to leave the table. I strongly refused to move. As I had made a reservation earlier, the owner herself arrived at around 9:00 p.m. and informed me she would send the meal out right away. I asked a worker to bring up the cake I gave them earlier as I waited for the dinner, but she didn't answer. I informed the three workers there, but no one responded. I approached the counter and requested my cake from the owner. "Who you gave the cake?" she retorted. Her query about how I should know the name of the worker annoyed me. When i noticed the cake was on the table and took it, requested the worker to play birthday song as they promised before. But as usual they ghosted. Even though it was 9.30 p.m., the dinner was still not provided. Serving time is scheduled for 8:45 p.m. However, I noted that walk-in customers received their food earlier. I approached the counter and inquired with the cashier's supervisor. I was shocked by his careless attitude, "YOU ASKED TO HOLD THE FOOD!"
WHAT! WHEN I TOLD TO HOLD THE FOOD?!
After the argument, few family members and I waited in front of the kitchen, so that the food to be served. Finally, The dinner was served at 10.05 p.m. Despite their claim that the food was recently cooked, it wasn't hot. After everything was settled, we asked the owner for the worst service and attitude of the workers. She continued to argue that it was my fault while failing to even offer an apology. After a while, she eventually apologized behalf of her staff for her actions.
To book services, I would strongly advise against using these places. Extremely awful—after receiving the money, they dumped us. Show no regard for...
Read moreI recently dined at Thai Garden Village, hoping to enjoy an authentic Thai culinary experience. Unfortunately, the overall meal fell short of expectations. Here’s a detailed review of the dishes and dining experience:
Tom Yum Seafood Soup The soup had a visually appealing color, suggesting a promising taste. However, it ended up tasting more like a generic tomato soup than the complex, spicy, and sour flavor one expects from a traditional Tom Yum.
Fried Vegetables The fried vegetables were quite disappointing. Rather than having a stir-fried texture and flavor, they seemed more like they were just lightly blanched and tossed in sauce, resulting in a lack of the expected savory depth.
Fried Fish with Sauce The fish itself was quite tasty, but it lacked the aromatic quality that makes Thai fried fish dishes stand out. It was missing the vibrant, fragrant herbs and spices typically associated with Thai cuisine.
BBQ Pork Neck The BBQ pork neck was average at best. It didn’t stand out and felt like it was missing the rich, smoky flavors that make this dish a favorite among Thai food enthusiasts.
Omelette Egg The omelette was the highlight of the meal. It was fluffy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. It’s a dish I would recommend trying if you do visit.
Boiled Siham (Cockles) The siham (cockles) were also quite good, provided they were fresh. Given that they require minimal cooking skills, the freshness was their saving grace.
Fried Chicken The fried chicken was a major letdown. It was extremely dry and hard to bite, making it quite unenjoyable.
White Rice The white rice was overly sticky, which detracted from the overall texture of the meal.
General Observations A common theme across all dishes was the need to pair them with chili sauce to make them palatable. This reliance on condiments suggests that the dishes themselves lack the necessary flavor and seasoning.
Hygiene and Ambience The toilet facilities were very dirty and smelly, which significantly detracted from the dining experience. On a positive note, the overall restaurant environment was decent.
Value for Money Considering the quality of the meal, it was not worth the price we paid. There are many other places in KL where you can enjoy far superior Thai food at a similar or even lower cost.
Conclusion Given the subpar quality of the food and the unhygienic conditions, we will not be returning to Thai Garden Village. There are plenty of better options for Thai...
