It's a remarkable achievement when my family members can reach a unanimous decision on anything. Typically, we hold contrasting opinions on every topic under the sun, be it music, movies, food, or even restaurant choices. However, there was a delightful exception recently when we all agreed wholeheartedly on both the cuisine and the dining establishment.
Our visit to Vanakam India this afternoon was truly memorable, leaving us already planning a return visit before we had even finished our first meal. The impeccable service, from the warm greeting at the door to our departure, exceeded our expectations. Our waitress was attentive, courteous, and so helpful that I felt almost guilty for needing her assistance.
We were vegetarians today as on Fridays, we spare the chicken, lamb and fish. Our selection included Hyderabad Dum Vegetarian Biryani, fragrant ghee rice, creamy palak paneer, flavorful vegetable varuval, spicy bhindi masala, fluffy kulcha, tantalizing chili potatoes, and comforting dhal rasam. The biryani was a harmonious blend of richness and moisture, while the ghee rice boasted perfectly separate grains – a true testament to proper rice preparation.
The real showstopper, however, was the chili potatoes; the sauce alone was enough to win us over, making it a dish we wholeheartedly recommend. The vegetable varuval was equally impressive, and the dhal rasam proved to be a delightful soup in its own right.
I find myself reminiscing about the massive glass of Buttermilk I had. It's so good that I might just visit again for that alone! I can't say for sure what ingredients they used, but daymm, even Harry Potter would probably agree that it's better than Butterbeer.
Our unanimous decision at Vanakam India has left us eagerly anticipating our next visit. Chicken, lamb and fish beckon. And...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Vanakkam India located at Sentul Point with family to celebrate birthday over a scrumptious dinner, and I must say, it was an experience to remember. This restaurant considered as hidden gem since relatively new in the town offers great and interesting choices of Indian cuisine, a captivating ambience, and an incredibly warm and hospitable team.
From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted by an inviting and elegant setting. Mr.Santhosh who welcomed us in gave us a great hospitality throughout our dining time. The others too were friendly and compliment the service well. The cake was delivered to the restaurant and received well by Mr.Santhosh. Do let them know earlier when making reservation on the arrangements they cater to it.
The food was delicious and we had few selections from the menu. All of us satisfied with the serving time and liked our food. We had biriyanis, naans and other ala carte items. The keema naan and paneer naan very tasteful and fulfilling for one serving. For the drinks, try out the butter milk and mango lassi, so good and refreshing.
Mr.Santhosh and the team made our dinner memorable by playing the birthday song when the cake is being served right after the dinner. Also, they play good music to be enjoyed along with the food.
The prices are very reasonable for a upper-range Indian cuisine restaurant, which is a point to be highlighted as well. Will definitely make another visit to try out their other delicacies in their...
