IMPROMPTU BREAKFAST
We decided to dine here on an off day. It was one of little times I was happy about my last-minute decisions.
I managed to scroll through their Instagram page for updated menus and I learned that they exclusively practiced cashless payment. I'm glad that I can confidently avoid the ATMđ
Youâd be welcomed by a calm atmosphere as soon as you enter.
We placed our orders at the counter and paid before dining. The premise also practices an âorder & pay firstâ policy.
Then, we made ourselves comfortable at the larger table for family seating. It was 8:50 a.m. by this time and the crowd had started to build up. Some worked on their laptops and some were enjoying breakfast after gym. The ambiance was calm and warm with great lighting and smart music choice.
Orders.
1 hot peppermint tea. Came in a small teapot and a sugar packet (5/5).
1 hot latte (5/5)
1 âThe Magicâ coffee. I don't know what was mixed in the coffee but it was, indeed, magical. A great pick-me-up. (5/5)
1 âAlphaâ with additional hashbrown. Big breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs, baked beans, soft toast, roast beef, cheesy mushrooms, and a fresh side of salad. (4/5) The toast was a little too soft.
1 Egg and Salmon Croissant Sandwich. Soft and fluffy croissant stuffed with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, also served with a side of fresh salad. (5/5). I live for fat salmon.
The only downside is that the gap between the drinks and food being served was long so our drinks got cold. But I guess it was a slow morningâŠ.
This premise is tolerant towards customersâ dietary needs. Don't be afraid if you have an allergy. They will cater to you.
Wolf and Turtle Wangsa Maju is hidden in between small offices and shop lots for busy bees and laid-back Lucys. They are open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Do find time to visit them because I guarantee you will have a sweet time. I must warn you, however. They do lean on the pricey side, but I don't think you'll be too mad. I can't wait for...
Read moreI found myself deliberating between a handful of charming cafés lining this vibrant street, before finally settling on this particular spot to indulge in my caffeine fix. While a decent cup of coffee is practically a given around here, what truly set this café apart was the impeccable service. The waiter was remarkably attentive and unfailingly courteous , a rare gem who clearly mastered the art of making patrons feel like VIPs.
I opted for a flat white, while my partner went for the hot hazelnut latte. Both were flawlessly executed â smooth, rich, and comfortingly aromatic. We also decided to venture into the realm of snacks and ordered the âWolf Chilli Fries,â which nearly gave us a minor cardiac episode due to the shockingly lavish portion. Honestly, it felt like we were served enough to feed a small football team.
The ambience was as anticipated, cozy and laid-back though the serenity can be swiftly disrupted if a group of overly enthusiastic youths decide to convert the café into their personal clubhouse (as was, regrettably, the case during my visit).
A delightful surprise came in the form of complimentary sky juice (upon request), served stylishly in a bottle that looked suspiciously like it belonged in a chemistry lab â the kind meant to store substances that shouldnât be exposed to sunlight. Highly dramatic for plain water, but I loved the flair.
Unsurprisingly, the fries had to be taken away, and even that was done with panache; packed into a paper bag so tastefully designed, youâd think this cafĂ© had its own merchandise line.
All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. Major kudos to the staff for elevating what couldâve been just another cafĂ© visit into something...
Read moreI had high hopes for this place but alas, if you wanna know when a coffee joint is a trend then dine here.
The cappuccino was ok actually unfortunately the almond croissant which I imagined would be your normal flaky croissant turned out to be bread disguised as a croissant. Meal was only served 35 mins after the order which isnât your normal wait time, whilst the big breakfast set came with one egg (first time) normally itâd be two, and the button mushrooms were really buttoned up đ For a long wait And priced at RM28, I was expecting more tbh while the avocado toast was really not creative at all. Having said this I canât complain there much because a lot of other people out there have bigger issues right - first world problems.
If the store is open to suggestions well first Iâd suggest to skip one sausage - I think most kids would go for sausages but for adults one is enough - replace this with an egg, youâd save also in the long run - Offer top up of this as additional. Perfect the croissant a bit more and you donât have to go far, you can try Chizu in Melawati mall for that - and lastly maybe expand your drink list eventually with fruit juices as morning folks drink coffee or juice to start the day.
So a...
