I recently dined at this local kopitiam, and it's safe to say that my taste buds were in for a delightful surprise. While kopitiams may not typically meet high expectations for ambiance or parking, this one truly excels in its culinary offerings.

The nasi lemak was a burst of flavors with fragrant rice, a little more towards the salty type of sambal which I'm a fan of, and crispy anchovies. The roti bakar was perfectly toasted, slathered with butter and kaya. As for the half-boiled eggs, they were creamy and cooked to perfection.

A shop along roadside but easily missed. When near to corner slow your speed then give signal left. Park roadside or opposite street. It's next to the Thai steamboat buffet.

Latest addition to the hailam kopitiams neighbourhood around Lorong Pandan and Limbongan area, the shop menu consists of hainanese staples like kaya butter charcoal toast, spicy hailam mee goreng, half boiled eggs and hailam coffee.

In additional, they also have chinese stir fry like wat tan hor, fried rice and special drinks like hor gao shi and shi gao hor which are basically milo mixed with milk tea or milk coffee.
