We arrived just at the cafe when it just opened its door for business of the day. It was on the first floor next to the car washing shop. A little bit of a hidden gem in this new town area. The cafe has just a few seating areas serving, probably a maximum of 4 tables, and the seats filled up quite rapidly after we sat down and waited for our orders. A few patrons left disappointed when they arrived late with no space left for them. Go early as you would like to try. The mochi-cream desserts are all handmade. Not all flavours are available when we were there, disappointedly. We managed to try all the five flavours offered that day. The thin, smooth, and soft pounded rice mochi encasing a rich buttery not overtly sweet cream with fresh fruits or biscuits flakes filling are heavenly as every bite filled up with different textural enjoyment of the palate. Though a plate of the dessert seems like a substantial portion, it didn't really fill up the dessert stomach. Price wise, it is okay for such a delicate piece of art, which made us wait for almost 45 minutes for that plate of five The cafe probably needs a better interior makeover. Otherwise, it would be a max...
Read moreGot to know this little gem of a place from a dear friend. Been craving daifukus since returning from Japan and am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the daifukus here.
The cream filling is really light/non greasy, leaving you wanting to have more. My personal favourite is yam paste. Was also surprised by the quality of the drinks here, i highly recommend trying out the matcha latte (the matcha used is a really high quality one) and kombusso (espresso + kombucha mix). Or if you are a basic person (like me) you can always trust their ice americano, the espresso is pretty well dialed in!
The cafe offers a cozy / laid back vibes, perfect for a lazy sunday! Just a headups, you should preorder your daifukus in case they...
Read moreThe best mochi I’ve ever tasted in Malaysia!
I just returned from Japan last week and have been craving the mochi from there. My wife and I were on the hunt for the best dessert in the area and came across this gem. The cafe is a bit tricky to find, as it’s located above an auto carwash, but it’s absolutely worth it. The mochi here is incredibly soft and flavorful. Honestly, it might even be better than the ones I had in Tokyo!
Make sure to arrive early, as it sells out fast. Their kombucha is also excellent, and the staff is super friendly. Unfortunately, I only managed to get two mochi since that was all that was left, but I’ll definitely be back for more the next time...
