These 2 girls are just too hungry after experiencing really bad traffic from Melaka. Thus, picking a stop to Nilai to have dinner is an urgent remedy for them. And here we come, to this very famous Sek Hao Fu Chinese restaurant from XHS.

Price-wise, I would say the food is very reasonably priced. We ordered 4 dishes (pork, egg, vegetable, and tofu), with 3 small plates of rices cost within RM 80.

The dishes are heavy I would say. The prawn-fried egg is fluffy but just a bit too salty. The tofu is good with minced meat. The stirred-fried sweet potato leaves are good, like home-cooked. The clay pot pork is good too, and my friend loves it so much, though it's so-so for me.

A place that is worth trying out with friends and family.

Ps and there is a free dessert after we...

The food here was delicious, though I would consider the sweet and sour pork and yam ring dish subpar/below average. The Hokkien mee was awesome, especially with the radish, and I genuinely fell in love with the salted egg mantis prawn. As for the fried pork trotter, the portion and taste definitely matched the price. The 4 of us were stuffed before the pork even came out if that’s any indication regarding the rest of the portions.

For the service and atmosphere, the staff were kind and acted with good intentions. The restaurant itself is a little dated and lacking sufficient air conditioning, so we were a bit uncomfortable during the meal despite moving seats to be closer to the fans.

A great place for a casual sit down lunch or dinner with...

Ordered food thru the menu for two pax, which had two set prices, for small and large portion. When ordered fish fillet small portion, it was listed RM18 for small and RM28 for large portion. but the guy who took order said the price in the menu can no longer be used. Since the prices has increased, he told it will cost now around RM32, which I asked why still hv old menu prices. No answer was given. When received the bill, the item was charged RM38 instead. The guy at counter has no answer too for the change of price and the portion which was served to us coz we asked for small. Its obvious the restaurant is taking customers for ride with old menu price and charge exorbitant prices. Hope the restaurant reads this review and change menu price....

First visit for dinner thru Google map recommendation 😁. Ordered steam fish, 2 combination pork shoulder, hokkien noodle and shark skin soup 😱. The wait was minimal, service was prompt and friendly. The taste of the dishes were good. Hokkien noodle would have benefited with more wok hey. Pork was juicy on one side and crispy on the other side. Soup was refreshing and full of collagen (according to the lady boss 🤭), it's now my current favourite soup. The only letdown was the fish, hardly have any meat and dry (could be due to us asking for a small "hoong chou"). The lemongrass jelly dessert was a perfect ending to our meal, cold and refreshing. The pricing was reasonable and the portions were fair.
