The most irresponsible Thai restaurant and the WORST ever experience with them

We pre-ordered and paid for 5 items from this restaurant ONE DAY AGO via Grab delivery and they cancelled two of our orders 30 minutes before our delivery time.- which is the TOMYUM SEAFOOD 1 pax and MANGO STICKY RICE

When I called to complain, their staff was unapologetic, rude, defensive and excuses provided were unfair and illogical. Some of the worst excuses given by the staff were:

  1. we seldom look at our grab orders
  2. there were good sales for TOMYUM SEAFOOD today for those who walk-in to shop to order on the spot and pick-up. Since you ordered that good-selling item, we have to cancel your pre-order.

If that is the case, why should anyone even bother purchasing and pre-ordering your food online then during MCO? You can’t just cancel our order so last minute where we now have A LACK IN THE AMOUNT OF FOOD TO SERVE A FAMILY OF 4!!

IT SHOULD BE FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. RESERVE THE FOOD ITEM FOR CUSTOMERS THAT HAVE ALREADY PREORDERED AND PAID A DAY AGO!!! This is common sense and fair management.

Please have some DECENCY AND INTEGRITY, where are...

Why I'm giving a 5 star review. Me and my friends were browsing around for early dinner. The menu stand outside is helpful because we stop by to look at prices. We were the only customers there considering the early hours we went. The moment we sat down, menus & cutleries were given.

So here's the story, a male waiter serves us and one of my friends was having a sore throat and she just ordered plain water. I love how he was tentative to our needs and because of his sharp observation skills, he always came to refill my friend's water so she could take her medicine. I also noticed how another waiter would open the door for a family of 3 with a baby and assist them in & out. I went to pay and the same waiter who serves us is also my cashier and before we left, he told me to take care of my friend and I smiled.

The food is delicious, authentic thai taste and the quiet peaceful ambiance is great but I'm really loving the service given here. The male waiter especially put a smile on my face from the moment i step in...

I ordered from D'Bangkok via Grab on 5 Aug for a delivery on 6 Aug. 30mins before my delivery they cancelled my TomYum and Mango sticky rice from my order list and proceeded to deliver the rest. It is incredibly irresponsible for them to do so given the 24 hour timeframe for them to prepare my order. How would you feel if you ordered a burger set from McDonalds but only got the fries and soda, without even informing you, is that fair?

Being very upset by this, my cousin decided to give them a call wanting to know why they did so. Their staff was incredibly rude to her, stating that they did not want to deliver the tomyum to us because their sales were very good that day, so they decided to prioritise walk-in customers over us (we ordered 24hours in advance).

Horrible attitude, horrible customer service, used to be a frequent patron, but...

Maps recommended the place to me since I was looking for a place to grab lunch in the area. Pros : Really generous servings (The sheer number of fresh Prawns in 1 dish), Servers were polite and attentive, everything tasted authentic. Flavours were spot on. Definitely recommend : Pandan Chicken, Spring Rolls and Prawn Rolls, Mixed Vege. Pad Thai was great too but make sure to request for an additional wedge of lime. Cons : A tad on the pricey side (RM120 for 2), some items were a miss. Like the fish cakes were rubbery and overfried and I wasn't a big fan of the Mango Salad either. Regardless, I'm still gonna visit them whenever I'm in the mood for good Thai food.

We ordered sotong goreng tepung, claypot japanese beancurd with shrimps, omellete with shrimps, cashew nut chicken, rice and the bill was just RM100 for 2 people which was reasonable for me. I feel like they should improve in terms of service and quality of the food. We had to wait nearly 15 minutes for the cashew nut chicken to arrive. When it came, we had finished our other meals already. Before this I had green curry chicken and it was nice but too much brinjals in it. Was hoping to have more meat in it instead of veggies. Overall, D’Bangkok Wok can improve their food, quality and service for better enhance their restaurant’s ratings.

Good Thai food. You’ll find the usual fare - varieties of mango salad, prawn fritters, Tom Yam soup, steamed and fried fish, many types of curries and a small selection of deserts. We recommend prawn fritters, steamed siakap, seafood tom yam, with thai green curry. Unfortunately they had run out of most types of desert when we were there. The dining area comprises one large seating area and a couple of private dining rooms. The large area can get quite noisy if there’s a crowd. The place is decorated with Thai motifs and some collectibles. Come here for the good and reasonably priced food.
