Well known restaurant for local, I know this restaurant since I was a child.
My family members each of them has their own favourite dish of this restaurant. My mother likes kam heong lala, but I find it so so, not enough spicy for me. My father likes thai style chicken, I like it too.
My favourite dish would be their signature taufu (招牌豆腐). Their bean curd is not common taufu, it’s delicious to eat with the minced pork. The last visit we tried Hakka fried pork (客家炸肉) which we never tried before. It’s delicious, rich in flavour but not the type that too much of flavour, just like home cook style.
The restaurant maintains a traditional, nostalgic atmosphere. I will always look at their menu specially written on wall every time I visit. Price is reasonable. Highly recommend!
Btw they have another branch in Oakland, which manage by...

The fish head is clearly not well cooked (blood still draining). It was resteamed but the fish was still not thoroughly cooked after resteaming for more than 10mins. A middle age waitress was very rude to us when I was trying to tell her that the fish was still not well done (tasteless fish, overspicy minced ginger and awful broth). She just turned away, without even apologising. Very bad experience and will never...
Read moreA charming old Chinese restaurant. Maintaining its original decor & set up. Friendly service. Reasonably clean. Decent pricing. Plenty of street side parking.
We ordered several dishes for 5 of us. Yam basket with dry chili chicken, kangkung belacan, kam heong chicken, fried tilapia with tauchu, claypot taufoo & a plate of hokkien mee. Taste wise most of them were rather flat. Nothing was spicy when they should be. Good portion size. The fish was fresh & flavorful which was the only plus.
Overall an okay meal however nothing special....
