Masjid Jamek Bandar Seremban — Attraction in Negeri Sembilan

🕌 The mosque is the oldest mosque in Negeri Sembilan. stands proudly on waqf land, from the former local chieftain, Dato' Bandar Hj. Ahmad Bin All, and the revered family members of Sheikh Abdul Kader, a local Islamic preacher.

🏗️ Originally erected in the early 1900s, the mosque emerged as a modest timber structure crowned with a pyramid-shaped roof, echoing the whispers of ancient traditions similar to Malaccan Tengkera Mosque.

🌟 In the year 1924, a majestic pagoda-style minaret graced the southeast corner of the mosque, rising as a beacon of spiritual guidance and architectural elegance.

🌈 The main prayer hall's initial square design has since blossomed into a captivating expanse, adorned with a symphony of pointed arches dancing upon Corinthian columns, weaving a tapestry of light and shadow.

🏞️ Atop the sanctuary, meticulous restoration work has breathed new life into the roof's majestic eaves and pinnacle, bedecked with resplendent tiles and illuminating clerestory windows.

⚒️ The stalwart wooden pillars once rooted in the heart of the prayer hall have yielded to the strength of concrete, a testament to the evolving spirit of endurance...

Another healing place i would go whenever I have to spend my day near town area. A calm, easy access masjid with plenty of clean toilets and wudhu’ area. If you go during the five main prayer time , then it is cooler as air conditioners and fans are on. But if you go outside those times , then it is a bit hot and humid. Hopefully the committee members would allow one air cond to be easily switch on n off when required. The visitors too must help to save energy...

This is an old mosque reminiscent of the KL Name Mosque. Still maintained and in use till today. Sited near the Main Market Seremban in the old Chinese quarter....
