It was a delightful experience to have dinner here at Mama Nor. First the staff were all so friendly and accommodative. Second, the food menu was just plentiful and mouth watery, you'll be like OMG, what to order now? Next was the food quality. It was deliciously prepared and portions were just right for sharing. You could see the dedication and determination of the chef preparing their food for you. We ordered the sambal cuttlefish, sambal prawns, nasi goreng kampung, Fried kuey tiow, tempura oyster mushrooms, fried tofu with peanut sauce and 'sengkuang calit'. They also have grill fish on the menu. Only the fried kuey tiow was not prepared to our liking. The whole experience at this place was awesome.... Staff were always smiling and yes, singing. So cheerful and positive attitude. Efficient too. Great place to hang out and enjoy the weather sitting in the open air (there's place inside, covered too) and enjoy the Malay fusion cuisine at affordable prices. Must visit when...
Read moreVery easy to locate in the middle of Tampin town. There is plenty of street side parking. There are plenty of seating places, sheltered and alfresco. The sheltered place has fans but can be warm during hot afternoons. The service is very good and food was served not too long after ordering. The speciality here is the "Yong Tau Foo" which is a dish of various small bite sizes goodies. It is paired with sweet and spicy sauce and a drizzle of grounded peanuts. It can be a bit pricey when you pick a lot of varieties. It was delicious nonetheless, well worth the cost. Another notable mention would be their sizzling hot plate dishes. It is well balanced. All said, this place is also a "Pitstop" location for those pitstop hunters looking to complete their pitstop booklet. Do visit them...
Read moreTampin Square is located in the heart of Tampin Town. Inside Tampin Square there is a restaurant called Mama Nor. Since this place is right in the middle of Tampin town, it is no wonder that it is the focus of residents and customers to dine. At around 9pm, I ordered two plates of Chicken Chop and the drinks were hot coffee and hot tea. Approximately almost an hour waiting for the order to be served. Chicken Chop smells fishy. What's more disappointing is that the prices of food and drinks are not worth the quality and quantity of the dishes. The waiting time for the order is also not worth the quality and quantity of the meal. However, the employees are friendly and courteous. Payment can be made through...
