Was attending a course in Alor Gajah and naturally I was looking for a nice Indian lunch during my break time. Stumbled upon this restaurant in nearby Tampin town. It looks like a normal Indian restaurant, but the food offered here is indeed very delicious. No wonder this place is recommended by many in Tampin and Alor Gajah as well. The restaurant is clean and the staff are very attentive. There was a small crowd at the time I entered at about 12pm. Dishes offered here ranges from the banana leaf meal up to the thosais and roti canai. There was a fairly good variety of dishes available, mutton varuval (my favourite), fried chicken, prawn sambal and many more. The veggie selections are really tasty so if you're pursuing a vegetarian meal, this is the place to visit. The mutton was really tender and soft, the chicken curry complimenting the meal was so good. I had to "banjir" the rice to enjoy the full experience. Read moreThis place has been around for a long time. Popular indian food & mamak stall along Main Street Tampin (lol Jalan Besar). Big fan of their roti cani - flaky and large. Banana leaf rice was tasty too! Food was hot and roti made fresh. 4/5 ⭐ for the food only.
At the end of my meal as I was just about to leave, I did, unfortunately, see a small roach crawl under my table. Which is why I'm deducting stars on my rating. Slightly disappointed with the cleanliness because initially this place felt clean, airy, brightly lit, and hygienic enough. Though, like a true Malaysian, I'm going to close an eye and will probably be back for roti canai lah. Maybe sit outside next time. Step 4 : Suggest for non-vege items eg: chicken ,mutton , fish..etc. The way we were served was. they put the rice vegetables onto the banana leaf then they brought to the table..
