Raohaus S2 — Restaurant in Negeri Sembilan

Came here for lunch and ordered the nasi lemak with chicken sambal. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed — the sambal was barely visible on the plate, and there was no gravy to go with the rice. When I asked for sambal, I was given what looked and tasted like a chili paste, which didn’t pair well at all with the nasi lemak.

I informed the waiter that this wasn’t sambal, but I was served the same chili paste again. As a true nasi lemak lover, this was really upsetting. Sambal is the soul of nasi lemak, and what I was served just didn’t come close.

I ended up leaving the restaurant with the bill paid, but barely touched the food. If you plan to serve Malaysian classics, please take time to understand the authentic flavours — sambal is not optional, and certainly not just any chili paste.

I had an amazing dining experience at Raohaus S2! The vibrant green rice paired with the creamy, rich sauce was an absolute delight—perfectly balanced in flavor with tender, juicy pieces that melted in my mouth.

The naan was soft, fluffy, and paired beautifully with the aromatic, well-spiced curry, bursting with bold flavors that left me wanting more.
