Visited this restaurant after my brother was recommending the steamed snakehead fish. Decided to bring my godparents here after making reservations.
Reservations are recommended during weekend else you need to Que for tables when you arrive. Restaurant wasnât very hygienic as the staff never cleaned up the floors after a customer left so on the floor there are plenty of rubbish like tissues and food particles.
We had:-
Steamed half village chicken @ RM 52.00 Kung pow frog @ RM 30.00 Broccoli with prawn @ RM 52.00 đŒ Fish fillet with ginger scallion @ RM 42.00
Total bill for 4adults and 1 kid @ RM 202.45
We were shocked when the broccoli prawn came in at RM 52.00. Didnât expect Bo Kee gave huge prawn. Kung pow frog wasnât really nice though as it tasted sweet. Steamed chicken was goood with minced ginger and the fish fillet was fresh with lots of scallion and ginger.
Food wasnât that good as spoken and prices wasnât cheap at Bo Kee restaurant. More like KL...
Read moreIt was quite crowded during dinner time, so I made an appointment a few days before to book a table. If not you may need to wait outside until there's an empty table. There's no option for a pot of tea like other restaurants, they serve tea and other drinks per cup. Overall its slightly pricey, may refer to the picture I attached.
Pork intestine and belly were superb, no weird taste, good texture, đ. Their signature fish head noodle, salted fish kangkung, marmite pork and ginger onion lala were on average, fresh ingredients used. The kangkung was still spicy although been reminded. Kung Po frogs were nice as well, just their kung po has added in with curry powder, not really ngam my taste. Patin fish with HK sauce was not bad, especially the sauce, but there's still a little soil taste.
The shop had been known with bad service but surprisingly this time was quite homely and respectful to elderly...
Read moreHave a bad experience on their food quality, service and price. We ordered 3 dishes and it costs RM102 for 2 of us. (Very the expensive ya, i think can eat better food in KL already)
fish heard noodle (RM 18)for 1 pax-only taste salty, no food taste and sour vege like clear soup noodle. pork intestines (RM37)- taste just meh without chilli sauce. Steam 3 seafood (Rm40) just like frozen clams + some piece of sotong + 4 white prawn. Taste only sweet not sour and spicy.
For service- as we are 1st time visit, we asking the lady what is the famous dishes in their restaurant and she ignore me for twice, just keep ask in rude way on what you want to order.Hello!!!
