Tourist who read this, yes u should thank god.. I’m local, so seriously don’t screw your holiday with this restaurant. They are DISHONEST. Ordered a tilapia fish asking more than 1kg in size. They serve us such a small fish (approx 700gram) but they charge 900gram. Moreover they say big fish is finish. Why don’t u tell us earlier. Basically they are cheating on weight!! Moreover fried fish is soggy. When u ordered drink with ice, they bring u non ice drink, when u ask, they say ICE finish, why u don’t tell at the first place again. Service is poor, they will acknowledge but they ignore. Honestly, Restaurant is overrated by marketing. most of the customer are malaysian tourist and taste is so so. Arrive there at 3.10pm. Already got 2 group of patronage before us. The shop operating hour starts at 3.30pm. The waitress took our orders by 3.25pm. The food was served one by one at 4.05pm. 1st dish: Gam heong zhu tan, the flesh is bulky but the shell is more than the contents. Taste wise is so so 2nd dish: Gam heong 鳗鱼 is so so 3rd dish: claypot fish - above average 4th dish: 脆皮鸭-some part is soft but some is hard - average 5th dish: fried fish head noodle - too much pepper in the soup, not enough milk taste. Normal meehoon is served (waitress did not specify which type of noodle is available). I first visited this place in 2019 with my family. It was crowded and every table literally had a "coconut" on their table. I wondered what was so special about coconut water until i realised it was "boiled" with chicken and herbs, giving it a very distinct, herby, chicken-sweet soup that is both fragrant yo smell and sweet to taste. Signature dishes include their crispy roasted chicken and duck, marmite crab and various braised/fried noodles. Over the years, many businesses have closed or lost almost 50% of their clientele, this place IS NO DIFFERENT. But their quality stayed, albeit higher prices. Order their signature food so at least you can savor their original good taste instead of just something everyone else...
