Reached here for lunch. Waited for order to be taken while looking around to view and get some quick fresh air from hills behind the restaurant. Ordered simple dishes so that we can get a quick lunch and head back to karak. Unfortunately, the order too more than 45 mins. But i was even more fedup when the people came after us got their dishes already. So i called a lady (takes order) and ask her could you check on my order. She replied me rudely and say u have to wait, I've told you earlier. But i answered, i ordered dishes and not noodles(have to wait 1.5hrs for noodles which she quoted earlier). Then i added on, the familes came after me got their dishes. She said, "you wait wait, i go see." Unfortunately, this would be my lastime here. Food outcome is ok. But not worth the wait. My daughter had to take white plain rice first as she was...

I'd make the trip from KL for a meal here anytime. It is a Chinese restaurant with a twist but you must know what to order - the fresh water prawns with glass noodle and wine is a win! Their wild paksougung or patin is tasty with firm meat. Make sure you ask for wild! Watercress is farmed near by. Wild boar is hunted around the vicinity. Their ginger is the best in the world so make sure some dishes have them (eg, ginger steamed frog). The chicken and shark cartilage soup is worth a shot. And the curry mixed vege in clay pot is out of this world. Don't bother with the other standard Chinese fares you can get in other restaurants.

It is a distance but the journey there is fantastic if you avoid the gambling addicts driving like maniacs.

The restaurant has plenty of space and very airy with a little garden for...

Stopped by De Village View in Bukit Tinggi for dinner on the way back from Camerons to avoid the jammed pack rush hour traffic usually at the Gombak toll. The restaurant is quite spacious and well laid out with ample free parking upfront. We chose to sit outside in the patio at the back where it was quieter and decorated with colourful hanging lights. For the 3 of us, we ordered catfish in claypot, chicken in passionfruit sauce, sawi fried with kailan, egg taufoo in nestum oats and stewed mutton in claypot. The dishes were unusual and the taste was interesting and delicious. The sawi and kailan mixed veg was fresh and crunchy and the catfish in claypot was tasty and fragrant. We had a good and satisfying meal and what's more the price...
