Visited this restaurant on a Thursday (19/10) after leaving Genting. Coming in from the main road, please pay attention there are 2 æ¡æºè°·restaurants with similar names. The first one you will encounter along the road is âWonderland Valleyâ, this restaurant âFantasy Valleyâ is just slightly further down. This is my first time coming to this area, so I cannot comment on which restaurant is better.
Arrived at around 12:10pm, parking spaces were many and we managed to get one of the tables next to the stream. Dining atmosphere was nice as the slow flowing water in sight creates a serene feel.
Purposely came here for the river fish, we chose the wild patin buah (rm22/100g). Although we would prefer a fish around 1.2 kg weight for us (7 people), it was not available on that day. The options are either 800g or 1.8kg. So, we took the 1.8kg one but with special request to avoid wastage. We told the kitchen to only cook & serve about 1.2kg there, and cut off the remaining raw fish tail for us to bring home. The manager is helpful and the kitchen executed our request perfectly. They packed the raw fish properly in a box with sufficient ice, and few layers of plastic bags outer. The fish and other dishes were excellent. My family really enjoyed our meal and had...
Read moreFood. Food was slightly above average. We ordered signature tofu, river fish, sweet potato leaves, wild boar curry and signature lime sotong. In my opinion, all tasted good but not outstanding except for the lime sotong. Do not order small. ð Just go for a medium or big. The fish was about 1kg and came up to over RM200+ but the price was already mentioned by the server earlier. We ordered ginger style but the ginger taste did not seep into the fish so it was only average to me although it was very fresh. Could not order the signature kangkung belacan as my dad can't take belacan so perhaps that would be better than ours. Tofu was nice but average, nothing stands out. Wild boar was also nice but not spectacular.
Service was exceptional as we got a table quickly and our order was taken quickly. Server was also friendly and quick with recommendations. We arrived around 12pm and got a table quite fast. May need to wait if you arrive at 1pm.
Ambience. Nice if you get a spot by the river but I think you may need to pre-book.
Price. Prices seem reasonable unless you order the fish, which the server will already mention is expensive.
I don't think I need to come again. Will try out...

On a recent trip from Karak to Kuala Lumpur, hunger pangs struck, and thanks to a friend's recommendation, we decided to detour to Fantasy Valley Restaurant. Let me tell you, it was a fantastic decision!
A Feast for the Senses:
Food: We ordered a steamed fish, perfectly cooked and fresh. The poached egg was a simple yet delightful addition. The vegetables were crisp and flavorful, and the star of the show was the rendang wild boar. The meat was incredibly tender, and the rendang sauce was rich and bursting with spices - absolutely delicious! Service: The service was top-notch. Our order was taken quickly and accurately, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Ambiance: The real magic lies in the setting. Dining by the river was a truly relaxing experience. It was clean and free of any moss, creating a peaceful and picturesque atmosphere.
Overall:
Fantasy Valley Restaurant provided a truly great experience. The delicious food, efficient service, and stunning riverside setting made for a memorable stop. We'll definitely be recommending this restaurant to others and can't wait to...
