Service attitude is absolutely unsatisfactory and unacceptable, with the price presented. It started from we called to check with operating hours as it reflected as closed at early hours, the person had already rushed to hang up the phone before we finish the second question. As we stepped in, we did not feel the hospitality or good service attitude like what others left in reviews (apparently good service is only given to certain privileged group only.) When taking our orders, we were checking about the food serving if it will be excessive for 2 pax, the attendant who we believed is the captain/boss of the restaurant she answered impatiently/hastily despite that is the only question to her during our order, and there were only few customers in the shop. She seemed to just bother repeating about the rule of ordering the crab minimum is 1 kg(that we completely got it, we were just thinking if it's better to have other dish instead so as not to waste the big food portion being served excessive to us).Overall experience is just terrible, we would not want to step in there anymore.Definitely would NOT recommend it, unless you wish to ruin your good mood. The unpleasant dine-in experience is just so bad, making us just want to leave the place sooner. We wish we could have spent the money elsewhere that...
Read moreFirst visit to Swan Restaurant. Just 2 persons so could only fry a limited number of dishes.
Ordered the following: “Kon Chin Har Lok” (stir fried prawns) with tamarind sauce. “Ham Yue Fah Lam Pou” (Claypot pork belly with salt fish & dried chillies) but with chicken pieces as this is a pork free restaurant. “Kai Lan” (Chinese Kale) cooked 2 ways.
The prawns were excellent. Great taste and fresh. If anything, a tad overcooked but that’s just me nit picking.
The Claypot chicken was very good too. It would have been excellent if it had been pork belly as the protein but chicken was OK. Flavours weee again very good.
Veg was stir fried with some portion of the leaves shredded and deep fried. Tasty. No complaints… and this from someone who is not big on veg. 😊
Overall a very enjoyable meal. Reasonably priced by KL standards. The above plus a bowl of steamed rice cost RM78.
Four stars because I only had a few dishes and when a Chinese restaurant is pork free… it just loses that something that brings its food to near perfection.
Overall, very satisfying and will return when I’m in...
Read moreRead reviews from Google before coming here as we were looking for other places to eat for seafood besides Tanjung Lumpur area in Kuantan and we were not disappointed. We did book a table ahead before coming in since it was weekend and dinner time. We went there at 8pm and it was already packed with customers. Their restaurant is big and their menu is quite extensive. We settled with salted eggyolk squid (yummy!), claypot butter prawn (thumbs up too and the prawn size is quite big), seaweed soup, steamed fish nyonya style (the gravy is a bit thick and a tad sweet to my liking) and fried vegetable (i remembered it has different beans in it including petai). You can order you food in advance via phone when you reserve a table but since it was our first time there and we don't know what's in their menu, we just ordered once we were there. We didn't have to wait long though. Service was quite fast considering it was peak hour at that time. Price is slightly expensive but it was worth it. After all, we don't dine here everyday. Will definitely come back here again if we are...
