Shelaiton Restaurant — Restaurant in Penang

We came here on 01/01/23 to celebrate the new year and my grandmother's birthday. Since it was a special day, we went with the course menu. It started with a soup, then an appetizer, then prawns, rice and a birds nest dessert. There was also some mini ice cream cones.

The appetizer which is a seafood baked in a crab shell is delicious. So were the tiger prawns and soup. Rice is average but if you like chinese sausage you will like it since the taste and smell of it is so strong. Serving size is small so it is perfect for guests who have a smaller appetite or wants to eat less for dinner....

The food is good, ambience is good. It's spacious. They use porcelain ware. Oriental style. Creative cooking. Waitress are polite and attentive. Suitable for all occasions. But it comes with a price. Be prepare to spend money. But...

This is the best Chinese restaurant in this area serving tasty Chinese delicacies. I like the fact that you don't feel thirsty after having your meal here; i.e. minimal / no msg. Highly recommended for those looking for delicious high end...
