More than 2 years not able to travel from state to state after the MCO, its great visiting Ipoh again... Heard about Yoon Kee Bean Spout Chicken rice and wanted to try it. When reached the destination in the evening, am delighted seeing many chinese local hawker stall "cuisines", operating at one location. This give a wide variety of choice to choose the local cuisines.. Will come back to try them. About the chicken, it's tasty, tender, not oily. The rice has mild ginger fragrant with some other spices. Not sure whats added but it tastes good. Although the rice taste delicious, there's a distinctive feel/texture using two type of quality of rice. Apparently, it seems that the rice was cooked using some mixture of some old rice "老米" with new rice "新米". Seems intentionally to create such taste.

I came here for the beansprout chicken but what you really should come for is the chicken hor fun soup noodle. The soup is very flavourful and thick and there's a generous amount of chicken. The rice was good but not as good as the hor fun. . I think this place is more known to the locals as there wasn't a crowd here on Sunday. Located at the Perak Stadium food court, there's plenty of parking and in the evening there was a cool breeze. Chicken Tauge + Rice and one Hor Fun soup came up to RM21 at the time of writing.

Nice food and uncle also very friendly. not packed with tourist! Chicken is smooth and juicy! Hor fun nice but soup were ok feels like they nvr add the prawn heads in the broth. Fried tofu next door was bomb!!!! So good! Crispy outside and soft inside. When you eat as a whole piece the soft tofu will ooze out!!! So good! They use japan rectangle tofu hence why its soft most place uses hard ones.

Opens late aftermoon to night. Variety of local Ipoh hawker style street cuisine. Street parking only & often challenging to get a vacant spot. Ipoh's hainese chicken rice bean sprouts speciality & clear broth soup. Steam boiled chicken was tender but slightly on the greasy end. Spouts was done al dente with the right crunch to the bite combined with soya sauce lightly salted. Added 1 ong choy yauyee in rojak sauce. Side orders of 30 sticks beef satay, condiments of raw onion cucumber and spicy peanut dipping gravy. Single order Har meen & kon lo wan than & cold icy coconut juice with pulp & lor hon kor beverage. This was satisfying to the ever growing thirst from eating spicy & salty. Tempted for a reorders but refrained which was definitely an excellent decision since we were stuffed to a point...
