Very bad experience at this shop. Usually, I don’t leave bad reviews, but this time I feel I have to because of how rude the staff were.
This is actually my third time visiting them, but my first time at their new shop. I ordered a takeaway mix seafood sambal. After ordering, I was waiting outside when suddenly a staff member came out and told me to go in and pay at the counter. I was honestly shocked — why didn’t they just ask for payment when I placed the order? And the food wasn’t even ready yet. He even told me, “some customers will run away.” Excuse me? My food wasn’t even done, how could I possibly run away?
When I finally got home and opened the pack, I realized they had given me the wrong order. I chose prawn, sotong, and hotate, but they gave me lala, sotong, and hotate instead. On top of that, it was super oily (see photo). The sotong was obviously frozen and extremely tough to chew.
I purposely drove 30 minutes just to dabao from this place, but ended up extremely disappointed. Definitely not...
Read moreIt is my second time coming again. The Chinese glasses lady recognize us. Hahahaha customer who eats a lot. This time the food taste as delicious as we ordered the last time. We ordered Portuguese Pari fish medium spicy which is just perfect for us, Assam sotong Big size(needs a bit more Assam depth flavor but it's great), Kam Heong bamboo clams Big size(we like it a lot), fried seafood tofu(soft in the inside, texture bouncy and tasty), Thai chili sauce chicken(good for appetizers), 4 drinks, 6 Big Rice (rice is a must when you order Portuguese dish). This was for 4 of us who came and we are super full. The total price cost is very reasonable to us. RM 181.65 for 5 dishes. I can say it's better than most Chinese restaurant we went to if we order as much dishes here. Other restaurants would overcharge for dishes like this. We would love to come again to December grill fish next time. Great ambiance and vibe, food quality is great and inside of the restaurant is...
Read moreDecember Grill Fish, used to nestle in a charmingly repurposed bungalow in PJ Old Town. Now they have moved to Boulevard 51. It specialised in grilled fish and seafood prepared in Portuguese, Thai, and Nyonya styles. The Portuguese-style stingray, smothered in a hot sambal belacan sauce with dried shrimp and lady's fingers, is a definite highlight – rich, succulent, and utterly addictive. The Thai-style sotong (cuttlefish) pleasantly surprises with its hot, sour, and garlicky sauce, cooked to perfection without being rubbery. Don't miss their well-marinated, crispy fried namyu chicken, which are a fantastic snack. With reasonable prices and friendly service, December Grill Fish is a solid choice for those craving flavorful grilled seafood in a festive setting.
As for parking, it was cheap only RM1 for parking from 11am to...
