So I was a bit taken back when I saw the 3.7 rating thinking hey maybe its just some misunderstanding of the food and service. But boyyyyyyyyy was I wrong.
My family and I went to this restaurant to try some classic banana leaf. As I was ordering, the worker (barely speaks malay and english) there approached me to recommend some clapypot lamb, sotong and etc. So we ended up ordering mutton masala, chicken 65, chicken masala, fried sotong (yeah this is the one that is triggering), claypot lamb. FOR 5 pax. ok la 5 dishes for 5 pax consider reasonable right.
When they start putting the dishes on the table, I was thinking eh? why so many plates on the table? Very sneakily they put 2 plates of sotong, a huge plate of chicken masala. We told them we only order 1 sotong (assumably 1 pax) and ask them to return another. thennnnn there comes the indian lady (the lady boss maybe?) telling us no no its 1 sotong separate to 2 plates. So, i said okay la if its 1 pax sotong then can.
After that the bill came, this is the fun part. They charged us 2 serving for chicken masala, and 2 sotong (RM25 per serving). I went back to the same lady boss and said something is wrong with the bill, why 2 sotong and 2 chicken masala?
She told me oh sorry the worker did some mistake frying 2 sotongs for you so we have to charge you 2 and the worker see 5 of us so assuming we do not have enough to eat so add on the chicken masala serving. excuseeee meeee? this is not what you told me sister, you told me 1 serving only. why should i have to pay for your worker's mistake and you add on my chicken masala cause your worker assume that we are big group?
The funny thing is, she didn't even apologize for the mistake or offer to remove the mistaken order. She said to me, I've already discount RM10 for you, and you can pay what. It's only minor mistake, you can pay.
I'M LIKE HELLO? HELLO? you wanna listen to what you just said or not? (of coz I didnt say it out loud and make a scene). So ended up I paid for the extra serving of chicken masala and sotong. with the GENEROUS RM10 discount. :(
To be honest, the food is mediocre and I can still taste the overflowing MSG in my mouth after hours of eating here.
My advice, if you really want to makan here, pleaseeee double check your portion because sneakily they will add for you and put the blame on you and YOU HAVE TO PAY woohoo~! eat at...
Read moreI'm a casual customer that comes here during the weekend for nearly 4 years. The food is mediocre. Price on the other hand is expensive. However, I'm deeply disappointed on their service.
My friends and I wanted to eat a lot of roti and curry fish. So we ordered a lot of food to the point my friend need to list down on her phone. When we say our order to the waiter (Uncle A) , this waiter DID NOT write down our order and rely on his memory. Some of them can't articulate Malay and English, only in Tamil. Its very difficult to communicate and understand them.
We wanted a teh ais, instead he (Uncle A) gave us a teh tarik panas. Of course, we ask politely and nicely to change the beverage, he did changed it for us. However, another worker (Uncle B) who already knew we got our teh ais came to our table and gave us another teh ais and claimed we ordered 2. We said "No we only ordered 1" then he cursed at us in his language and proceed to walked away. (BTW uncle B walked around the restaurant whilst holding a knife menacingly, I'm not even kidding)
At last, we got our order and checked whether there's anything left. Oh boy, there is.
We have ordered 4 roti telur but there's only one. So we complained about how they left some order and their attitude of their servers. While we complain, they exclaimed to us. Also, they don't even apologise to us.
Anyways, we got our roti telur(s) and felt very disappointed.
In conclusion, the customer service is not good and the environment is creepy. But please do not harass the workers, there's a woman who works as cashier is really kind and considerate.
Okay...

Overall Rating:⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5)
Atmosphere and Service: ▪️ The ambiance of Krishana Curry House remains welcoming and familiar, but the service seems to have declined since my last visit six months ago. Staff were less attentive and the waiting time was longer than expected.
Food Quality: ▪️Chicken Clay Pot (Medium): This dish used to be a favorite, but the quality has noticeably deteriorated. It was overly salty and had an excessive amount of MSG, which overshadowed the natural flavors.
▪️Crab (Nandu) Rasam: Previously a highlight of my meals here, the rasam was a major letdown. The taste was off, lacking the usual depth and balance of spices.
▪️Ikan Bulus: At RM 7 per piece, the price is steep for the size offered. A more reasonable price would be around RM 5, considering the portion size.
▪️ Pricing: There has been a significant hike in prices. My recent bill came to RM 79.30 for two people, whereas similar meals used to cost between RM 57 and RM 62. Specifically: Chicken Clay Pot: Increased from RM 24 to RM 26 Crab Rasam: Increased from RM 3 to RM 4
Value for Money: The overall experience felt overpriced given the drop in food quality and the increased prices. The value for money, which was once a strong point for Krishana Curry House, is now lacking.
Final Thoughts: Krishana Curry House used to be a go-to spot for delicious Indian cuisine at reasonable prices, but my recent experience suggests a decline in both quality and value. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving the taste and pricing strategy to regain their...
