I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the appalling customer service I experienced here about two weeks ago. The service I received was not only unprofessional but also shockingly RUDE.
I visited your establishment with the intention of purchasing a chocolate cake for a friend. However, my experience with this Chinese middle-aged lady at the counter was nothing short of a nightmare.
The cake was big. I asked her if it was possible to write "game over" directly ontop of the cake. She rudely said that its not possible and that she would write it on a plastic to which I agreed to proceed with. Despite her initial assurance that a short note couldn't be written directly on the cake, she proceeded to do suddenly write on top of the cake direftly, and the result was nothing short of DISASTROUS. The writing resembled that of a 6-year-old learning to write, and it was utterly unacceptable.
When I expressed my displeasure, she dismissively argued and insisted that nothing could be done to rectify the situation. This was unacceptable customer service, and her attitude was disrespectful. I had to demand a replacement, and only then did she reluctantly agree.
Even the replacement process was handled with incompetence. She handed the cake to her colleague to write on a plastic sheet, resulting in a poorly written message once again. It took multiple attempts before a satisfactory outcome was achieved.
As a paying customer, I find it unacceptable to be treated with such disrespect and to receive a product that falls far below the expected standards. This experience has severely damaged my perception of Baker's Cottage.

I pre-ordered 6 boxes of Swiss rolls a week ago and asked the cashier if they could be cut into pieces. She checked with the kitchen staff and confirmed they could cut each roll into 6 pieces, which is the only reason I agreed to buy them. I scheduled the pickup for 12/7 at 1PM.
Today, when I arrived to collect the order—just before my party was about to start—I was shocked to be told that they never offer cutting services. The cashier was rude and dismissive, repeatedly saying she would not cut them and refusing to find out who had promised it earlier.
I had ordered in advance thinking it would be convenient and worth a try. Clearly, it wasn’t. I would never have purchased the Swiss rolls if I had known they wouldn’t cut them as promised.
