As an elderly customer, I do not know how to use the self-service machine (mesin), so I politely asked the staff for help. Instead of assisting me, she rudely replied, “You do it yourself,” and “Go press it on the machine yourself.” She showed no patience at all and even gave me an attitude.
When I further asked, “May I make payment at the counter instead?” she responded by scolding me, which was completely unacceptable and disrespectful.
Elderly people like us are not trying to cause trouble — we simply don’t know how to use these new systems. All we ask for is a little help and kindness. I felt embarrassed and hurt by the way I was treated.
