I just cant convince myself to give a better rating. DECENT OK food. Not that its bad. But highly overrated, overhyped, overpriced. Choices consist of Taiwan noodles n rice sets with a touch of Japanese fusion, vegetarian choices are available too. Portion "LOOKS" big, served on wooden trays and side dishes(a signature style of Taiwan/Japanese cuisine fusion). Noodles portion are actually small, the meat/chicken that is served along is slightly adequate in portion. Given the price, easily going rm30++ per pax if you order a main dish with their signature tea, was expecting portion could equate. Dishes is served in less than 10mins after order chit was submitted, rice n noodles came in a bit cold / not hotly served. Suspect all dishes ate pre-made and briefly heated to serve. Their popular 销魂面 is actually "instant noodles", i was served with a undercooked mee which is still a bit crispy, overly stiff, n not chewy. A worthy note is their so called "cold brew Taiwanese tea" price starts frm rm6.90.... Taste like the usual 雪茶 or cina teh ais from local chinese kopitiam made frm 茶粉 cheapest form of tea powder. Highly overpriced n hyped. You can hardly tell the difference if i pour a filtered kopitiam cina teh ais into a nice looking bottle or teapot. Now it comes to the big question of the queue. Is it worth queueing up. My answer is NO. Operation hours is frm 11.30am-9.30pm. I came at 11.45am, thers already a queue. I counted a decent amt of table seatings 16 x 4pax tables, with 12 tables convertible to 2pax tables. Queue waiting time usually takes 15 - 30mins.... Personally, wont revisit unless...

I went there last Wednesday with a super hungry stomach. I was queuing as usual and there were few customers in front of me. Suddenly there was a girl came and directly go to the counter and requested to cut queue with the reason "I want to do shooting". Then, very unfairly, the restaurant allow this! It was very ridiculous as we got around 10+ people queuing there, and it was 8pm - dinner time, everyone was very hungry after a full day work. The customers in front of me questioned the waitress why this girl allowed to cut queue. The girl then shouted: "I a not cutting queue!" Hello? We all not blind okay. You are CUTTING QUEUE! The waitress was then answer she is not cutting queue, she made a booking in advance. Another customer asked how to make booking then, said she doesn't plan to queue next time, she will make booking instead. The waitress showed a hesitate face and went in to ask her senior and reverted that actually they dont allow booking, just this girl have to do shooting so she book in advance. Which I dont believe in the waitress's words as if the girl really made booking in advance, then all staff should know that today there will be someone go to their restaurant and do shooting. They should prepare for it. Yet, to me the girl just seems like request to cut queue on the spot with the reason "I want to do shooting". If she really made a booking, then show us...

Food was underwhelming and honestly disappointing.

Ordered spicy beef soup with noodles and Japanese pork cutlet curry rice.

Soup was served cold when it was supposed to be hot. Requested for them to take it back into the kitchen to heat it up, only for the staff to plonk the bowl back on the side of my table, instead of it being back onto the tray.

Only saving grace was that the noodles were springy and good - but this can easily be found elsewhere.

Pork cutlet - breaded and pre-fried but nothing to shout about. Egg.. Was just fried egg, placed on top of the rice. Not the quality or worthiness expected of a RM30 dish.

Best dish there was their side dish of Japanese Tofu. Funny for a side to be the best but at least it's something right.

Service staff unattentive, all gathered at the back counter, barely understood their own menu and looked like they just didn't care.

The service staff that served me was not feeling well, sniffling and nursing a running nose while trying to explain portions of the menu to me. Not sure why she was still working?

Simply can't understand why the long queue during peak hours for mediocre food and bad service?

Take your money elsewhere. Honestly the worst RM70 I've spent for food in a long time....

In all honesty, their menu and recipe was much better last time. Now that they have "upgraded" their menu, the quality of food have dropped drastically. Not only have the prices gone up noticeably, the portion of the food also seems to be much less now. I took the Japanese Pork Chop Chew-Chew Noodle. Previously, the highlight of the Chew-Chew noodles is the braised pork on the noodles. They provide a balance of meat, flavour and wetness to the noodles. With the recent change in what I assume is the SOP, the amount of braised pork is so much lesser and mostly fatty pork (some fatty goodness is ok but this is just too much)...this just made the dish overall dry with barely any flavour. The pork chop was also a disaster. I had to request the crew to change a new one since the one I got was so tough I could hardly chew on it. This is not the first time I'm eating after the menu "upgrade". Suffice to say, I was dissatisfied in every visit, hence this review. I miss the old menu and recipe, especially the noodles with the side of large soup. ps: the service crew is very attentive so that's something they have going for them. Kudos to the crew!

What I ordered: - The pork minced meat noodles taste good. - The Taiwanese sausage taste is good. - Hot Tea (oolong) is nice + the shop ambience, its quite enjoyable. Refill: They allow 1-time noodle refill (note: only noodle and don't expect refill to be the same portion as your initial order). Curious: The soup was alright, just wondering which ingredients gave the sweetness taste. Perhaps the shop owner should describe the soup a little bit more. The overall shop design: I love how Taiwanese package their restaurant and everything. It's very nice and comfortable. Recommended improvements: 1. Increase refill portion. 2. Consider soup based noodle option if possible. 3. Your service is considered good, perhaps can remind your staff to observe the tables around and see if anybody wants to refill tea (or offer this service voluntarily) and check with customers if they're happy with the food. I'm sure this will give a lasting impression of good service. It shows the restaurant cares for the customers experience. Will I visit again? Definitely. Do I recommend to others? Yes, do try it.
