I used to come here rather frequently for meals a couple of months back, but stopped because the service and staff personnel dropped quite a bit in quality.

Found myself in the area by chance last week, so I decided to give it another chance, and had the most pleasant of surprises. It seems the owners have taken our critiques into consideration and made improvements to their staffing, as what I found was a stark contrast to my last visit. My main complaint from before was that none of the staff spoke much English to begin with, so communicating my order to them used to be such a pain!

I can't speak for the other staff just yet, but Mervin, the waiter who attended my table that day was quite possibly the most well-spoken and educated person I've had the pleasure of meeting in all of my visits at any food establishment, let alone this restaurant. They were having a busy night, so we weren't able to get too many words in, but the brief exchanges I did get to have with Mervin were incredibly rejuvenating, and he was able to convey his perspectives on an extremely broad range of topics ranging from nutrition to finance. (He even told me which cryptocurrencies he was investing in and which to buy, and I'm already making money from it!)

I highly look forward to my next visit at Forest Cafe, and hopefully I'll be able to catch him on a less busy day to pick his brains.

Mervin also politely declined my tip 3 times (rather flustered, I might add), and told me that he was just happy to have been able to add value to someone's time spent....

Nice Korean food in the area. The best thing here is obviously their kimchi and fried chicken, although all other food appeared to be quite nice too. I think it is quite a deal for weekday lunch set.

Personally I like everything, with some points of improvement as below.

  1. Toppokki - The sauce might be better if it is a little more spicy and sweet, and a bit overcooked so everything becomes too soft.
  2. Japchae - Also a bit overcooked, so it becomes too soft, seasoning can be improved.

But fried chicken is a must eat. Super crispy, meat are tender, sauce are so nice, and the batter wasn't too thick or oily. Kimchi too very fresh and taste so nice. I think it can be a snack on its own when watching movie.

The atmosphere is nice, clean and cozy. However, the service is trash — my family and I have been waiting for our food for ages, my cold drink practically became warm and our food still has not arrived. People who came and sent their orders later than us received their food much faster. —Clearly, they pay no attention to smaller tables.

The food we ordered don’t take a whole generation to be cooked. If it wasn’t for the drinks set on our table and some hope, we would’ve left. By the time our food arrived, the tables that were later than us have already finished their meals.

The food itself was mid, not too good but also not too bad, portion sizes were average. Please be mindful and treat smaller groups of customers the same as...

Food is really good especially their FRIED CHICKEN. I read someone commented that their fried chicken is good and yup it is! I might come again to eat the fried chicken. The tofu stew is also good and taste like comfort food. Price range is around 30-50 per peson. Will come again to try their dessert. It’s located at the first floor (block B) so you’ll need to take the elevator. The interior is nice and cozy. Not so many people when I came here. Got lots of seat. Can choose for indoor or outdoor seating. Not sure if they accept card payment or not. But they have tng ewallet payment option.

Simple yet pretty decorations up. Tables are well placed out. There is a cozy book corner where kids can read while waiting too. SOPs were in place. Food came pretty quickly. Was surprised when the waiter came to inform us of a promotion based on the drinks we ordered, it basically came with a cheesecake. The food looks good and filled us up well. One order was missed out and the kind owner brought over a banana walnut cake as a way to apologise to little one. It made us happy. Price range is reasonable for about RM 100 for all of us. Missed out the picture of the late meal.
