The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Ativo Plaza — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

Here on May 7, 2022 at 1pm. Hardly any customers around except for one.

Air con is terrible, despite spending over 2 hours at this place, drinking ultimate iced blended mocha and the new peach ice tea, it hasn't cool me down. Had a really heavy breakfast so not hungry enough to eat lunch. Instead had a slice of the Raya cake to make up for the difference. Raya cake was a little nutty. Had always wanted a nutty cake at Coffee Bean like in the early days but things had changed. And it's one reason I don't frequent Coffee Bean as often as in the old days. The All in One bagel sort of brought me back but still not excited about it. I had a lot of nicer bagels at a Western restaurant back in China!

Some how this outlet at Plaza Ativo lack the ambience and they have to do something about...

I order Brek O Day and the staff told me sausage is out of stock (I ask them can reply with more veggie and egg and they say yes) Waited 35 mins for the breakfast to serve and yet yet it was cold breakfast Salad without dressing Overcook bread No extra egg given Not even serve me tea since I placed my order And yet not even apologise And after the staffs ask me my tea haven’t been served ? 🍊🌸🍊 Today, I visited Coffee Bean in Ativo Plaza to try their Chinese New Year special, the Red Fortune: red velvet on a salted egg cookie base. The salted egg flavor is subtle, but its mild saltiness effectively balances out the sweetness of the cake. The texture is satisfactory. Personally, I find that cakes at Coffee Bean have a slightly lighter taste, which is enjoyable because you won't feel overwhelmed after eating it. I also ordered the Valencia Orange Sparkling Cold Brew Coffee, though it's quite sweet – a delightful indulgence, haha!

The environment in this Ativo branch is so cozy that it makes you feel sleepy even after drinking coffee!!! But I think they are understaffed because the serving time is so slow, even though I just ordered cake and...
