I’m a vegetarian and strongly promote vegetarian eating, but I have no choice but to give this restaurant a bad review. I had kids with me, so I specifically ordered non-spicy dishes: Japanese Curry Rice, Sweet & Sour Fish Rice, and Tomato Sauce Spaghetti. All of these were clearly marked as NON-SPICY on the menu.
But when the food arrived one after another, every single dish turned out to be spicy. The Japanese Curry Rice, in particular, wasn’t “Japanese curry” at all—it was just regular curry rice, and very spicy. The Sweet & Sour Fish Rice didn’t taste right either—it was made with black rojak sauce, sour and spicy. Where’s the “sweet” in that? The Tomato Sauce Spaghetti had only a few tiny cherry tomatoes, and it was spicy as well. On top of that, everything was overly salty.
I told myself, fine, just bad luck—I’ll pay and never come back again. But the worst part happened at the counter. The waiter were rude. I stood there for a full 1-2 mins, the waiter completely ignored me at all, busy doing their own thing without acknowledging me at all.
I voiced my complaint directly to them, but they didn’t respond at all. This restaurant is...
Read moreBeing a vegetarian and a supporter of vegetarian restaurant, honestly I try to give 5-star reviews to all good vegetarian restaurants to help their business.
But this one I really struggle to give a 5-star.
We ordered an Assam Laksa, Teh (Milk Tea less sweet), Black Pepper Fried Udon.
Teh, tasted like Milk+Water without tea. struggled to drink it. So we went forward to tell them and requested for change. And it came back without much improvement .
Assam laksa, was expecting seaweed fishy smell in the soup, but I think there is no "fishy" taste or seaweed taste, except the seaweed used to wrap the vegetarian fish.
Black Pepper Fried Udon, it was so watery , and without the taste of Black Pepper. It tasted more of like Fried Hokkien Noodle. And the supposedly "Udon", I think they used the Fried Hokkien Noodle kind of fat noodle instead of Udon. As a customer, I could taste the difference.
I hope this review serves an honest feedback to the restaurant operator to look into the area of improvement. I hope they grow and prosper in their...
Read moreThe place is easy to find ( facing the main road ) Parking maybe a bit challenging, therefore please park at Megah Rise Mall a d walk over. The food was very tasty, not too saltish and the owner / hostess had recommended us to share the dish due to its big servings ( we were three ladies) Ordered the nasi lemak petai , bento set and finally the Lei Cha set....we couldn't finish the lei cha set and had to tapau.Ordered a pot of Chinese tea to drink. Total price was RM 52, very budget friendly price. They had mix rice too which I plan to come back and order again.Worth the money.Atmosphere may be a bit dark and traditional style , no fancy table cloth with fancy cutlery but it was worthy of great food during these times. Not wheelchair friendly ( need to walk up the steps) Children friendly No pets please Seniors will enjoy this cosy home...
