DAY LIGHT ROBBERY AT RESTAURANT MEGAH GOOD LUCK!
I was dining in at this Restaurant Megah Good Luck at SS24 Taman Megah yesterday morning with my friend 8:30AM 23/05/2022. I ordered bitter cucumber noodle and in the present of my friend I paid RM50 to the foreign worker of that particular stall upon the food was served to me due to I have no smaller note. He then did not give me back the change and walked away. I thought he has no small notes on hand and walk back to his stall to get the change. Till I’d finished my meal he did not come back to give me the change.
I walked to his stall and remind him that he collected RM50 note from me. In front of his colleagues, he told me that I only paid RM10 to him. I told him that I paid him RM50 note yet he insisted that I paid RM10. As a matter of fact, he didn’t even pay me back any changes. (The noodle should be only RM7 or RM8) My friend knew the boss of this restaurant and we went to complain to him. He then checked with the foreign worker and told me that that foreigner worker collected only RM10 from me. He then told me that it is OK if I am not coming back to consume again.
I believe that this is not the first time that the foreign worker does this. So whenever any one paying the food, do pay in small notes OR eWallet is even better. Do not give them a chance to rob you. (Unless you are very generous to...
Read moreMay 2025: Used to be a popular local kopitiam. Gone are the days where you have local to cook at the stalls. Now, most stalls (probably except for Sabah pork noodle) were manned by foreigners and food are bad. Most disappointed with the once famous siewyuk noodle that were cooked by foreigners.
6 yrs ago: Food: (non halal) Variety of stall selling wantan mee, siew yuk kolo mee, yong tau foo, chicken rice, beef noodle, char kuey teow, fish head noodle, pork noodle, penang prawn noodle, sarawak noodle, mixed rice. Ambiance: Local coffee shop Price: RM6 and above Service: You would rather call the waiter to order your own drinks instead of them coming to you. Overall: Extremely over crowded during peak hours (weekday lunch and weekend). Popular stalls as siew yuk noodle and wantan mee. But stay away from fruit stall selling crazy expensive fruit cuts. Famous chicken rice stall open at 4pm onwards. Also, during tea time, try nasi lemak bungkus and...
Read moreA lot of stall owners have moved on or changed hands because of covid-19. But one stall to call out which still receives a steady stream of customers is the charcoal chicken rice stall. Stall opens 4-9pm only which is part of the attraction as most elsewhere serve a morning and lunch crowd. Has various styles of meat; white chicken, roast chicken, roast pork, barbeque pork and roast duck. Additionally, the stall serves sides like braised white taufu and egg plus sour vegetable stew. Took away food with a tiffin carrier and was served with generous amount of soup and chilli. Returned 5 months later for lunch. Took away wet popiah - expect a 15 to 20 min wait. This man was originally in ss2 cheow yang restaurant in the 80s. Worth the wait. Also took away from the famous siew yoke noodle stall, stuffed bitter gourd noodle, shredded chicken and curry mee - it's ok if you don't have too high...
