Update:
Order chicken rice as takeaway. Terrible! Rice don't seem poked at all. Such a disappointment!
Dated 27th December 2018
Food is good here. reliable restuarant to go to for a peace of mind for makan time. price is also reasonable.
there are only two complaints i would like to point out: the rice in the chicken rice set are sometimes not prepared like usual consistently. sometimes it is too soggy (which i don't really mind). sometimes it is too dry (this one was a disappointing experience, they gave me rice which was already at the bottom of the rice pot, so you can imagine the dry and hard texture, very hard to chew even). the siew yok smeilled weird during an order i made couple months back. since then, i avoid ordering it.
coffee drinks ie hainan coffee/cham/tea is delicious only when the senior chinese lady (with the gorgeous china doll hair) is around. i was there every morning for brunch for three time consecutively, on the third morning, she was not around. drinks were diluted/too sweet(as i have always asked for very little sweetness). i asked to lessen the sweetness of my coffee, only to have it back as a diluted coffee with zero ooomph. I hope the chinese lady can train the other staff to make delicious coffee.
Great place to eat, and highly recommend this eatery. I do hope for better consistency in its food...
Read moreAfter a hiatus of a year or so, decided to have our last minute dinner at this place since many were close or about to. Settled in yo our seats, we proceed to read the menu available. It's reads a typical daytime cafe offerings. There we spotted curry noodles items and decided very easily to order a curry mihun for myself and another curry mee for my missy. The items came quicky and to my surprised it were rather full of condiments, roasted pork, pork skin, tufo pok, long beans, binjas skin and a small plate of Sambal sauce. It was tasty and thick at all the right spot. We quicky finished our bowls and the curry soup as well. Thry too offered wan tan mee too and since they were set up as a herbal outlet, they offered various types of leong sui prepared by themselves. This they're capable of since their parent company was into selling Chinese herbs located next door. Herbal experts they're and their herbal drinks can't be far off the mark in quality, I assured you all. Would recommend all to give this place a try out. They can offer what any kopitiam can offer eg siew pau, toast and eggs, egg tarts and etc. Making this place a go to place for lunch, Tea breaks or dinner. Prices are typical of any cafe but they do not sting on quality. Well worth the money you give as no nearby kopitiam can come close to offering the...
Read moreWhen I first ate at My Little Herbal Tea, I walked in because of hunger and the fact that they have air-conditioning in the premise. Who knew that the curry mee would left a deep impression in me?
I like the fact that the premise was spacious, clean and comfortable to dine-in, as I'm the type of person who sweat easily especially when it comes to spicy food.
◾Siham Roasted Pork Curry Mee RM21.90 - to their credit, the siew yuk was quite good.. crispy skin provided that it didn't soak in the curry broth too long with good marination, old school Brinjal and long beans were included, and they were generous with cockles. Most importantly, the curry soup had good consistency - fragrant enough without overcloying. ◾Roasted Pork Wantan Mee RM14.90 - the Wantan Mee was springy, coated with the savoury dark sauce. ◾Roasted Chicken Wantan Mee (Soup) RM14.90 something to consider for those who want clear soup base. ◾Extras : Yong Tau Fu in curry soup... Fully customisable whether to serve in soup, curry or simply deep fried.
In short, the curry soup here is good and most importantly I can dine comfortably. Short walking distance from Megah Rise Mall if cannot find...
