This Malay lady started selling her nasi lemak in a Chinese coffee shop, occupying a small stall, in the 1970's in PJ New Town. She has now moved in her own coffee shop, selling nasi lemak and a variety of Malay delicacies under the name of Nasu Lemak Daun Pisang Kak Dee, assisted by her son and daughters. Her shop is a short distance from her previous stall. You can say her nasi lemak is very popular by seeing the number of customers patronising her shop. In short , food has NO taste at all, even the sambal and the rice texture don't have coconut taste that is the most Important thing in the nasi lemak , price reasonable, has lot to improve . No doubt she is being doing business for a long time maybe those.customer don't mind it . Not for me as I give interval between every now and then yet taste the same so it is up to customer at the end...

Rice is warm with okay fragrant. Sambal is neither very spicy nor very sweet kind. Too bad the ayam rendang was not hot Roti canai was simple and decent. The dhal isn't the hyper thick kind.

Memang nice nasi lemak with your choice of chicken or succulent beef in the most sedap sauce! The place also offers nasi melayu and roti canai. Reasonably priced and outstanding nasi lemak (RM4.50 for daging); roti is a bit doughy but passable. The place is crowded so you'll probably have to share share tables lah. Staff are friendly and the place is mostly cleanish. Heh.

But the shop was very clean, friendly staff/lady boss, and there was a lot of nice natural light and air in the morning. Will come back for brunch/lunch (starts at 10pm) to try their Malay nasi campur (mix rice).
