The decor was very nice (really represents 4 stars) but it’s deceptive because..
Let me start this off by saying that if you have young children, DO NOT COME HERE!
There’s terrible room hygiene - from the second I entered the room, dead cockroach at the door. Cockroaches proceeded to be all over the floors and walls throughout the whole visit. It wasn’t just one or two but many of them all over. It’s an infestation.
When we entered the room and was going to lay down on the bed, there was hair all over the bed sheets and pillows that didn’t belong to any of us. We literally just entered and saw it all over.
There is no pool :(. Super boring for children if you need to stay here with them as they have no entertainment options.
There’s terrible room air conditioning in the family suite doesn’t work well. We adjusted the setting to the lowest possible temperature but the thermometer indicated the room is at 30 degrees Celsius. Very warm for such thick duvets. I am here with a baby, which means, they need to sleep well. So they offered to call a technician to come and check on it- shouldn’t they do regular maintenance and know if it’s not working well before hand?? Even if not, it’s wild how we couldn’t get relocated to another family suite. Had to bring a portable fan to improve air circulation.
We asked for one extra towel. Again, we are with a baby and that means baby too may need to be cleaned or have spills etc. so when we called the housekeeping they promptly told us - we could only have one more towel. We had 3 bath and one foot rug. So there’s a towel control regime here, like rations during a war.
So no I really wouldn’t recommend this to any families with small children. Maybe if you’re single and can handle squashing bugs all night- go for it.
Attached is a view from the room we stayed and photos of the additional mini...
Read moreRead moreArrived at 4.20pm to check in as check in was stated to be at 3pm, was informed room was not ready and redirected to wait at the lounge for 15mins for the room to be ready. It is now 5pm and room is still not ready 😑 so we cant check in on time but we are expected to check out before 12pm???????? We had to keep approaching the front desk staff to enquire when the room will be ready (once it was past the 15minutes wait) instead of them keeping us posted. Another thing that need to be highlighted would be the way one of d front desk staff (Andi) tried to deceive us into accepting another "cheaper" room instead of what we initially booked by claiming that the new room he is going to assign to us which is ready is a much better, bigger room than the room we booked but is of the same rate. It is not! We booked the premier deluxe king room and he wanted us to settle for the grand deluxe room. It would have been acceptable to us if he has told us dat the grand room which is cheaper is ready and asked us if it is alright for us to be assigned that room instead of trying to be dishonest and trying to shortchange us just so that he can give us any room that is ready. This is not the first time i have encounterer such bad service from armada s front desk .1st time was many years however the then manager made it a point to apologise and rectified the issue and we decided to give armada a second chance by staying here again. But dis is definitely our last time. And to be fair, it wasnt just us waiting for our room to be ready there were a few couples that were just as frustrated as us due to the long wait ( 2hrs plus) and the only compensation was a welcome drink ( juice poured from a carton) for all the hassle and inconvenience. I realised armada may not be a 5star hotel but what has been highlighted here and glaringly wrong are basics of...
Utara Cafe Front Desk Woman Staff is extremely rude! To whom it may concern, I have been to many hotels and occasions (conferences, workshops and meetings) but this is my first time encounter what I can best described as the worst service by your staff (specifically a woman staff at the cafe, her name is Maya). Been here second time. The first was before MCO and everything was ok, the male staff is kind enough to assist us especially parents with kids and cater our needs. Unfortunately, yesterday when we want to dine in the cafe, the woman staff asked whether I (the one with the kids) am the participant? Firstly, there shouldn’t be any pre-judgement on whether or not I am also a participant (or should I wear a name tag with a “Dr” title to not get a bias judgement from your staff?). However, it doesn’t end here when today the same woman staff did not allowed us to dine in just because we carry snack from outside (we just get back from Bandar Utama and just want to have a quick dinner before head to our room). The staff should have some consideration and ease us but rudely told us “no outside food” and we have to go up and down again with the kids just to have a quick dinner?! We felt uncomfortable with the bad treatment when the staff again watching us 2 feet from our table while we’re having our dinner. Everyone should be treated with respect even if the said staff is lack with training/ skill/ education, being kind is not something to be taught of. Hopefully, the hotel management could take a serious action as it happens frequently based on others complaint as well. We totally didn’t deserved this kind of attitude and uncivilized manner from the staff especially if it can jeopardize your hotel image in a longer run. Thank you for the great...
