Padang Kota Corner — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

Honestly been here almost 3 years as I'm a student at the nearby University here, there's two types of cuisine you can get here according to time. Whereby, "mamak" food is from 12pm till late night (all the mee goreng, nasi goreng and so on) and "melayu" food from 5:30pm till late night (the same goreng cuisine) but honestly guys, I feel that the melayu food is better here but can't eat everyday like my case have to that's why I'm damn sien with it but honestly not bad as last week I discovered a meal which is "Padang Kota Special" damn cheap and nice sia. It's RM8.80 for Tomyam Fried Rice with Fried Chicken, Bullseye Egg, Vegetables that's cooked paprik (Malay stirred fried style). Really worth it !! Thank you to the owner for changing the dining tables and chairs to new ones. It makes this outlet look nicer and cleaner compared to the old ones.

Previous times here I had nasi and lauk for lunch. Sometimes have breakfast.

Todays breakfast was a surprise when I saw the new tables and chairs 👍💪.

Food and drinks has always been very consistent in flavors. BUT staff needs to listen to customers request and ensure that the drink makers or cooks follow the orders special request. Many a times I ordered a hot drink with a request for kurang kurang manis but what was delivered was still sweet.

Same goes for my order of roti bawang with extra dhal gravy. Never comes with extra dhal. Needed to ask again and then only get what I requested for.

Used to be a great place for decent Nasi Kandar. Sadly, no more.

1. Overall hygiene, flies visiting every table, meals

2. Few of the chicken dishes are exposed to the patrons speaking or talking over them, major hygiene issue as the patrons might be spreading germs from the saliva or just pure unhygienic

3. The service level at the Nasi Kandar counter is truly a major let down. Only one person to manage the counter
