Spice Islands — Restaurant in Sabah

We walked in to an empty restaurant with a big hall and nice seating arrangement. We came here because it was an all Indian menu and didn't feel like going out to Mother India again. We liked the menu and ordered a seekh kabab and naan. Their menu indicated that the Naan will come with pickles and dal so we did not order it separately. After a long wait when the food arrived, we were shocked to see the limited quantity of dal that came with the 4 giant naan (that is just one quantity) . The naan was bland and tasteless; the kabab was bland too - it was just eating a blob of chicken without ant taste - they didn't even marinate it nicely. Overall, it was a terrible experience and would not recommend to Indian travelling to Kota Kinabalu. Go to Mother India - they are the only authentic Indian...

When it was suggested to try Indian food.... in Borneo.... really. Well what a choice it turned out to be. If you love food and want to try an authentic full flavour from India this is the place fair prices for the area and just food to die for. Give it a go...
