After trying their Grab food, I decided to go to this restaurant. The food arrived earlier than expected, and it was still hot and fresh. The packaging was sturdy and ensured that the food didn't spill or get damaged during transportation. The authentic Teochew food taste, loving it!!
My recent visit to a Teow Chew restaurant was an absolute delight, and it was a culinary journey that I had been eagerly awaiting since my first experience with Grab food months ago. This restaurant is a hidden gem that brings the essence of home-cooked Teow Chew cuisine to life.
From the very first bite, it was clear that this establishment takes immense pride in delivering authentic and flavorful dishes. The Teow Chew cuisine is renowned for its emphasis on fresh ingredients and simple, yet expertly crafted, flavors, and this restaurant certainly upheld that tradition.
One of the standout dishes that left a lasting impression was the Teow Chew-style porridge. It was a bowl of comfort and warmth, brimming with the flavors of slow-cooked broths and tender morsels of seafood and meat. The texture of the rice porridge was perfect, providing a soothing backdrop to the bold flavors of the ingredients.
Another highlight was the Teow Chew-style braised duck. The duck was incredibly succulent, and the sauce had a depth of flavor that can only be achieved through meticulous preparation and long hours of simmering. Each bite was a harmonious blend of sweet, savory, and aromatic notes.
The menu offered a variety of other Teow Chew classics, including the famous yam paste dessert and the refreshing oyster omelet. It was a true feast for the senses, showcasing the diverse and delicious offerings of this culinary tradition.
But what truly made this dining experience exceptional was the sense of authenticity. It felt as though I had been welcomed into someone's home, where generations of Teow Chew recipes were being lovingly preserved and shared with diners.
In conclusion, this Teow Chew restaurant is a true gem for those seeking an authentic and heartwarming dining experience. The food was not just tasty; it was a celebration of tradition, culture, and the joy of sharing superb, marvelous home-cooked Teow Chew cuisine with appreciative diners. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in search of a genuine and memorable...
Read moreWe went there for dinner on a public holiday, it wasn’t crowded but had quite a few customers. We ordered vinegar pork leg, stir fry vegetables, braised tofu, braised peanut, sautéed salted vegetables and stir fry minced pork
Food The food was delicious and I personally enjoyed all of it especially the stir fry vegetables (sweet potato leaves if not mistaken), salted vegetables and the braise gravy, the vinegar pork leg was quite good too
Service All food was served warm
Something I was quite surprised was that they actually fulfilled my remarks which was to have more lean meat as some restaurants may ignore it or just give a little bit more lean meat. I appreciate it.
Another thing was the way the waiter hand the food to us, it wasn’t anything that should be highlighted but it was just...

Classic Teochew Moey cuisine with diverse variety of Teochew condiments. There are several soy & herbal braised and stewed meats (pork belly, duck) and vegetables - most ideal accompaniments for the congee. There’s also several fried and steamed dishes as well. Classic preserves like fermented bean curd, salted duck eggs, century eggs, mustard, radish, etc. are available as well.
We loved the braised mushrooms, hum choy, peanuts and tofu - most of all the sweetish savoury“Black Pork”. The bouncy texture of the fat and skin is irresistible and addictive.
Definitely a good place if you’re looking for authentic...
