TLDR: Food is mediocre except for the Tiramisu which is good. Service is not great, they made excuses not to accept card payment and they charge 10% Service Charge on takeaways. Environment is quite dated and can use a bit of refurbishment.
Forgot to take pictures of the food while dining in cause we were hungry, but here’s the receipt as reference.
Caesar Salad — vegetable amount is decent, croutons was small like skittles and not crunchy, sauce is non-existent and only had a sour taste.
Spaghetti Bel Pasto — served in an aluminium foil bag, was quite soupy and had generous amount of pasta and veges, some mussels and scallop, nothing special. The waiter gave us small plates and it was a struggle to eat without spilling.
Pizza Con Tono — tuna pizza, the bread crust was crispy and fragrant but the rest of the pizza was soft (wet) and falling apart. It was also topped with lots of raw onions which doesn’t feel like a good match.
Plain Warm Water — I asked for hot and it was served really hot which is great.
Tiramisu — cocoa powder was fragrant and the cream cheese, lady finger, and cake base was super light and delicious.
[CASHIER DOES NOT WANT TO ACCEPT CARD PAYMENT]
The restaurant have signs and stickers indicating they accept ‘Visa’, even on the bill clip. However the cashier lady said their card terminal was not working so they only accept cash and DuitNow QR. Paid using DuitNow QR and proceeded to order a Tiramisu Cake to pickup the next day.
Went to pickup the next day and asked if I can pay using card and she said the network connection is bad so can’t use. Told her that I think they just don’t want to accept cards and she denied and said DuitNow QR is easier. Once I paid using DuitNow QR their phone immediately rang (money received), so I highly doubt there’s any issue with their card terminal and network.
[SERVICE CHARGE IMPOSED ON TAKEAWAY]
I was in a rush to get back home and didn’t look at the receipt thoroughly in the restaurant. Once at home I realised that they charged 10% Service Charge for takeaway and it even indicated a table number. This is unethical, and I noticed several reviews had also...
Read moreWe went around 730pm on a Saturday, it was full-house but we were lucky to get a table within 10mins.
The atmosphere is a bit chaotic; loud conversations here and there plus occasional yelling from the staffs among themselves. However, service is good and they are polite while taking and serving orders.
Drinks: 3/10. Iced blended chocolate and mocha were quite diluted. Juices are readymade, not freshly squeezed. Generally just for you to have something to sip and quench your thirst while waiting for the food.
Pasta: 7/10. The carbonara with beef bacon tastes bland and a bit too watery for our liking. Fettucine salmone is great. I love how they cut the salmon into small pieces and mix thoroughly with the sauce and pasta. It is seasoned with lemon juice as well. Therefore, the flavour turns out great and refreshing: sweetness from tomato sauce + sourness from lemon juice + rich, fishy & oily taste of salmon 🤞
Hawaiian pizza: 9/10, amazing! The crust is very thin and crispy. Served piping hot with generous amount of toppings, sauce and cheese. Price is so affordable, I think it's only RM18. Such a high CP value compared to the pasta. The only downside is the mess created when you are eating it as the crust is too thin to support the heavy toppings, so everything tends to fall off.
Tiramisu: 10/10, the ultimate reason we came here and it did not disappoint. Such a satisfying serving portion and it's only RM10.80 per slice, not to mention their excellent presentation and the lovely balance of being a bit sweet with a touch of bitterness. Very well-done!
At one point, the restaurant was stuffy and looked overcrowded. I guess the air-conditioning is too weak. Dining here at night seems better than in the afternoon.
Overall, it's a great dining experience and definitely looking forward coming back to try their signature "Bel Pasto" as we were not in the mood for seafood last night.
Bonus: the restaurant has a strategic location to...

It's a reasonable priced italian restaurant in desa aman puri. Ample space for parking. The restaurant sometimes allow reservation and sometimes not as there is always long queue waiting outside during peak hours and business is too good. The restaurant is air conditioned, however it's still very crowded and doesn't feel well ventilated. The atmosphere you still feel very italian as it's decorated with many pictures and bricks pattern wall.
For the food, the bolognese and lasagna is well cooked, the tomato flavor is light and special, which makes the spaghetti delicious. Carbonara is just ok, as the white sauce is not creamy enough but that's just personal preference. The soup is average. Bel pasto pasta is not as expected, the cling wraps bowl makes it interesting, but the gravy and ingredients makes it taste like a Kwong fu Chao noodle substitute with pasta. Risotto is a bit too wet and sticky. Hawaiian pizza is meh, however since we didn't order the bel pasto pizza, cant comment much for the their pizza, but the crust is crunchy. Their menu of the day is some baked chicken with brown sauce, it's very well seasoned and tastes really delicious. However, the Tiramisu cake tastes really good and well balanced with the coffee powder and cream. And the tiramisu is one of the cheapest that you can find in Klang Valley.
Overall, it's still a very good and enjoyable restaurant for the locals who want good Italian food, as the price is very reasonable for the food they offer. But for people not from the area, it's not that good enough to the extend that you will travel and...
