My dining experience at Makan Cafe, nestled within Tune Hotel at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), was nothing short of a culinary revelation. Armed with a coupon for a complimentary meal from their restricted menu, I embarked on a gastronomic journey that left me thoroughly impressed.
Opting for a taste of Malaysia, I decided to indulge in their Nasilemak, a quintessential dish synonymous with Malaysian cuisine. What stole the show was the tantalizing sambal, bursting with flavor and heat. Its perfect balance of sweetness, spiciness, and depth of flavor had me reaching for seconds, eagerly spooning it over my fragrant rice and boiled peanuts. Despite not being a fan of anchovies, I found myself enchanted by how the sambal seamlessly tied together the elements of the dish, elevating each bite to a symphony of taste sensations.
In addition to the Nasilemak, we also sampled their Fish and Chips, and I must say, it exceeded expectations. The portion size was generous, ensuring that every bite was a satisfying experience. The fish was perfectly cooked, encased in a light and crispy batter, while the accompanying chips were golden and delicious.
Overall, my food experience at Makan Cafe was a delightful one. From the exquisite flavors of the Nasilemak to the hearty satisfaction of the Fish and Chips, every dish was a testament to the culinary prowess of the chefs at Tune Hotel KLIA. If you find yourself craving authentic Malaysian cuisine during your travels, look no further than Makan Cafe for a memorable...

The seating are mixed chairs of different materials like metal, bamboo & rattan . The tall glass window uses bamboo blinds. The lamps are hanging industrial yellow bulbs that gives the place a relaxing feel instead of the usual clinical white lights. We ordered funghi pizza and salted egg pasta, so it's presentation are of high standard. The pasta's shrimp are big and seasoned with parsley & curry leaves so it's an asian fusion and yet still retain it's western taste. We ordered fresh oranges and fresh orange juice and it's good as it has real pulpbits as proof of real fruit and it's cool. The pizza is not their expertise as the sauce taste more unlike italian but more asian. The mushroom and artichoke taste earthy, it's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moremy third visit to MAKAN; this time for buka puasa with the family. wonderful experience, food was delicious eventhough not as many varieties in other hotels (mee goreng mamak, chicken curry and the banana cekodok was awesome!), relaxing ambience, and terrific staff.
surau is also clean and comfortable.
if you think you canāt have decent food at a budget hotel, you will want to consider MAKAN at Tune Hotel. intimate dinner is also good here, since the lighting suits the ambience for one.
buka puasa is served in courses (starter, mains, dessert), unless you come in large packs where buffet is offered.
you might want to RSVP on your preferred dates as seats are quite limited. lounge area is also available to just chill out while enjoying your coffee.
I am leaving one star behind, hoping perhaps for a more variety of food in...
