We came, and there was a lot of people here, with three separate tables of huge families celebrating birthday party. We went for a table of 2 pax at the very end of this restaurant.
The waiters were busy and no one came to our table even we raised our hands several times with some of them actually noticed us. Understood they need to run here and there due to crowds.
We waited for 15min and nobody came to take our orders. I had to walk to the cashier and ask for assistance. She said we need to scan the QR for orders. Frustratingly, we did not see any QR on our table. If not, we were already scan it the first moment we sat at our table.
The cashier was also busy with customers. So, I decided to walk away from the counter and return to the table. On the way there, I saw a bunch of QR stands on food trolley that supposed to be put on the table.
I took one of them and started my orders accordingly without realizing that on the QR stand there was actually a table number. It was so small that we did not notice it.
Unfortunately, we ordered our foods with a table number from one of the huge families celebrating the birthday. And, I noticed after more than 30min sitting there. Some waiters started to deliver foods to the table and the family denied the orders. Which, I believe that was for me and my friend. So, I raised my hand to attract the attention of the waiters. Then, they realized the foods were actually for our table.
Rudely, from our POV. The waiters gave us a poker tired unfriendly face and said, "did you change your table?". We received the same question from another waiter as well. We feel offended as we were attacked by the question where in fact the waiters ignored us from the first time we stepped into the restaurant and waited for FIFTTEEN MINUTES. Lucky for them, my friend & I were not hot tempered.
After finished our dining, we went off to pay the bill. And, shockingly the cashier even attacked us with a sarcastic statement, "Oh, you're the one that changed table right?". OMG!! Since we're not hot tempered, we just simply paid and just walked away because we're so not into drama.
We took off and decided to make a review about it. So, here we are.
BAD SERVICE WHEN LOTS OF CROWDS. This restaurant has a good attraction but lack of staff working there.
We never coming here again because we were ignored and attacked at the same time. Even though we know the staff did not mean to do it. They were exhausted. I wish them well.
ps: one of the waiters did apologize to us. But, the face he gave when he delivered that apology was like we're the problematic customer just because we ordered using wrong QR table...
Read moreThis surely is a biased view as I was treated with a complimentary tea mint by the manager, Mr Abou Kareem after our brief interaction in Arabic (those were the days!)
Went there last week at 9pm, it was impromptu as me and my wife were looking for a restaurant for a heavy meal but many restaurants are closed. We went there and boy we were glad.
We ordered grilled platter consist of chicken, shish tawook and kofta and arabic bread. I had a side order of hummus with minced lamb and a pot of adani tea. The chicken is tender and exquisite and authentically Middle Eastern (prior warning for those looking for a Malaysianized version of Middle Eastern cuisine!). Coupled with the soft and warm arabic bread together with the mayonnaise and hummus condiments, the meal was heavenly. I also ordered a broccoli soup with garlic bread which was quite decent. The adani tea, although good lacks the deep ginger aftertaste that is typical of Yemeni tea.
This restaurant is located at level 3. Most of the seating area is outdoor whereby depending on the time of day, may be filled with the fumes of shisha. The indoor seating unfortunately feels a bit stuffy.
Unless you park in the paid parking space/building, I would imagine it will be a headache to find one. Price is fairly high but it is actually normal for a specialty restaurant...
Read moreMy son and I used to frequent this place and found that it has a new management now instead of the old one. The place looks comfy and beautiful, as it is located at the top floor of Shaftbury Cyberjaya and it has a nice view especially at night time. There are lots of greens hanging and in pots which render the environment of peace and serenity. The external dining area is big and with different types of tables and chairs arranged nicely for customers' preferences. As I was not that hungry, I ordered the Kunafa @RM25.00 with Turkish Coffee @RM5.00. The kunafa is not as I had expected it to taste like. It is sweet and is just okay. I didn't really like it that much. As for the coffee, it goes well with the sweet kunafa and tone down the after taste of kunafa. My son had the chicken sharwarma @18.00 and is beautifully cut and presented in a big plate with fries and the white sauce. It tastes great as well. On checking out, the cashier was busy with some other business and totally ignored us. I had to wait for some time to make the payment, at his convenience. He finally was free to accept payment. Parking is available at the multiple level parking at the complex and is convenient to park on the third floor as the place is located...
