Rating this restaurant on several parameters:
Food: 1/5 Honestly it could be better, like, a lot better. -I ordered the 100g smoked brisket with 2 sides, almost cost me RM30. and 100g wasn't a lot, but i guess if i wanted more than i should've ordered more, but honestly id rather eat a steak at chili's for at least RM70 with better flavour and sides.
-there were 2 slabs of the brisket, one was cut along the grain, therefore it was chewy and wasn't tender. i think for a restaurant to claim themselves as a "BBQ joint" you should teach your staff to cut against the grain of the piece of meat so that you get a more tender texture. also it was kinda old, maybe it wasn't freshly prepared for me. the brisket itself taste wise, it was smoky but it could use more seasoning.
the choice of sides weren't a lot, there were all carb heavy with no seasoning or flavour. pilaf rice, tortilla chips, mash potatoes, simple corn on a cob...fries... i had the mash potatoes and fries but honestly, for a restaurant to call themselves "Texas BBQ Barn", they should have a variety of Texan style bbq sides. you can make a simple google search and find an elaborate list of texan BBQ sides that are not simple carbs, coleslaw, collard greens, baked beans, fried okra, green beans, creamed corn, green beans... i mean go all the way you know, because its literally the name of the restaurant. even a simple roasted vege mix would've balanced out the sides a bit. maybe its a customer target thing, maybe they assumed people who would be interested in eating here would only be interested in simple carbs, and wouldn't expect real texan BBQ sides, because its only cyberjaya after all, but idk i guess i expected more.
Service: 3/5
I mean the staff were friendly, but the service was kinda slow. And with the food i received, i don't think it'll take a long time to prepare it but it took quite a while.
Ambience: 2/5
I think the decorations could be better, and the restaurant could've taken advantage of the double ceiling height. Decor was bland and did not remind me of a "Texas BBQ Barn". Maybe hire a designer that could help you visualise a proper "barn" ambience. it looks a bit DIY and sorry to say, "cikai". Decorating the place more with professional help will definitely boost popularity of the store, with "instagramable" places being a thing now. Country music and fairy lights outside was a good effort tho.
The last part of my review is the sales copy and promotional graphics used in social media and pamphlets. Please have someone to proofread them because there were a lot of grammatical errors. i just feel like because you are "Texas BBQ Barn", maybe add some more typical cowboy-ish phrases, a yee-haw here and there, or at least if you are promoting in English, have it written properly because it looks a bit unprofessional and not thought through when people read them and can point out the errors in the copywriting.
I really wish that this restaurant could be so much more because i think there's a lot of potential. if you call yourselves "Texas BBQ Barn" then really bring Texas the minute people step in! It's really bold of the owners to call their restaurant with that name because even in the states, BBQ is a big deal even between themselves, South Carolina style BBQ, North Carolina style, Memphis style, Texas style and so on. so really bring on the Texas BBQ!
Would love to see the place actually be worth while since i live in cyberjaya and would love to support local small businesses. its okay to charge with those prices, just make it worth the price. You have cheaper and more delicious eateries surrounding you, don't slack off on the competition especially amongst the weekday lunch crowd. Best of...

I don’t know how you guys doing business. But i do know you guys need more training on it. Bc you guys are proven sucks on it. Kedai mamak can do better.
We went in with reservation but when found that the reservation table is not prepared and waiter gv us the table under name ‘Hafiz’. Well Hafiz, congratulations for decided not to come bc you just saved yourself from humongous disappointment.
So lets begin the nightmare. Placed an order around 8:45pm 30/7/2023. Ribs platter that we desired are sold out and the largest set is the only available at that moment. Ok la we take that. Ordered submitted. Done.
9:20pm, after half an hour later, one of waiter came to us and apologies bc he only able to fulfil root beer float as they have run out of ice. Bahahaha kedai makan tp abis ais weh. So no Soda Sunrise nor iced chocolate. We ask for cold tin milo but apparently they only have warm milo in cans. 😂 waiter gv complimentary cold plain water. Okay la, we accepted it as waiter also just a kuli and not the boss nor someone who can make such decisions to deplete store resources for free.
9:50pm, the other waiter came to us and said the main course, highlight of the day, is sold out. After an hour then only we found that big ribs platter is sold out. Best part, when he said so, there are new female patrons submitting order manually to the other waiter and waiter accept the order at the same tine. Idk if he knew it is sold out or it is reserved for that female patrons. Its like pergi kedai nasi arab tapi nasi arab habis. Apo kobondo ekau jang? Yinnadei…
It is very disappointing to have such service. Imagined, they are only starting to check on order receipts after an hour. It may take another hour to complete cooking the order. Or maybe an eternity to complete the order. So now we know how slow-mo are they.
No apologies made by this waiter. Our side dishes also never been send to our table. Mungkin masih dalam freezer lagi, mungkin.
Summary…
no one checks out how max ribs can be serve each day, how many have been served, already out of kitchen and how many left un-cook in the order receipt and how many left in storage to cater order for the day.
we made reservations with kids. Other table do have crayons and papers provided to them to keep kiddos busy. We weren’t. Staffers do not have the common sense to provide us with the same so we take our own initiative, took it from patrons who has left the restaurant.
study your market la lengzhai! Make an estimation or projection how many ppl are coming on the payday, on the normal day etc. you have the guts to open a new branch some where else so you must know this. Spend some $$ on this, not just simply paying influencers to promote your restaurant.
guys, can you guys keep communicating to each other? Perlu ke buat group whatsapp supaya staff dihadapan tahu berapa banyak stok yang tinggal dalam cold storage tu? Do whatever you need to do to keep your staffs, front and kitchen, very well inform.
I understand you staffs (may) are new to f&b line but your boss definitely not new to this industry. Here is the advice for you boss/owner/manager. Get your @$$ down here and manage the restaurant properly.
In the long run, you better do something. Or else, you may want to stop paying tiktokers for promoting and keep it for your retirement. Bc its not about no demand, but its you yourself destroying your own restaurant.
In conclusion, you guys are...

There was NO roasted half chicken.. instead it was soaked bland tasting watery chicken chop pieces. Everything was tasteless and no smoky flavor whatsoever.
The meatloaf (900g) was a big chunk of minced meat loaded with bbq sauce. The restaurant has NO freaking idea what real meatloaf actually is. The skillet eggs are just scrambled eggs chucked on top their mashed potatoes scoops. The fries are of the frozen type cheap garbage you get from "pasar-malam".
The Christmas ice-cream was served melted without chocolate sauce in a disgusting tiny sauce cup - the type/size you find in hospitals when they give you panadol. Did I mention the part its was all melted. Was supposed to have 4cups but only 2 tiny things appeared.. hahaa.
The nacho chips were from some supermarket snack - totally toxic MSG flavored. Basically all sides were very nasty 3rd party garbage. Stuff you find in gov. school canteens these days.
The so-called meats were again tasteless, smokeless in tinfoil wrapped. Mushroom soup from a can. This restaurant really skimped on everything. The only decent dish was the ribs.
You guys better QC what is being served by your staff over in cyberjaya. The kitchen staff are a lazy bunch..
Forgive the rants but I'm keeping things real. Very sad experience. Really hope you buckle-up and ensure quality (as advertised) in the future. This was...
