Please be very careful at this Texas Chicken outlet. The cashiers are purposefully OVERCHARGING and then trying to hide this from customers. I can only assume they are then taking the difference from the till. Judging by the reactions of the store manager, who was not at all surprised nor apologetic, it seems that this is not a one off.
I made a very simple order of two chicken wrap sets and two honey biscuits. After paying via pay wave I was handed a folded over receipt in such a way that I could not see the bottom items. As I was waiting for my items, it seemed like my charge was too high, so I unfolded the receipt to see the whole bill, and saw that I had been charged for four biscuits, not two. I then said to a separate cashier (not the one that served me) that there is something wrong with my bill, to which she replied 'oh yeah, the biscuits', to which is replied 'how did you know that? You didn't serve me and you haven't spoken to the girl the served me', at this point she went absolutely silent as she had realised what she had done.
I then called over the cashier that served me, and asked why she had overcharged me, and by this point there were only the two biscuits on the tray they were preparing, which made me know that they knew not to give me four despite me having been charged for four. So I said to the cashier again 'why have you purposefully overcharged me, that's stealing from me.' Again, the cashier did not reply, so I asked for the manager. As it turns out, the manager was stood right next to the till the whole time and had seen everything without saying anything. So I asked the manager why his staff are purposefully overcharging and trying to hide it. The manager was in absolutey no way apologetic, in fact he had a very rude, confrontational attitude. All he said was 'okay lah, I refund two biscuits'. That was it, all he was willing to do was give me money back for two items I had not ordered, had not received, and had been charged for.
I then told him that this wasn't good enough, that his staff are stealing from customers. He said 'okay, go somewhere else then'. At this point I could not believe that attitude of the manager. It seemed absolutely clear to me that he knew his staff were doing this. He then just took 7myr out of the till and put it on the counter with absolutely no apology whatsoever. I am currently trying to get the details for head office and the local authority that would deal with this in order to escalate this further. While 4MYR seems like a very small amount of money to be upset over, it is still stealing and who knows how...
Read more❌Sep 25 I always believed Texas Chicken was one of the best fast food fried chicken brands — until today. My experience at the KLIA2 franchise was very disappointing, both in terms of food quality and service. As a supervisor, you should be able to communicate politely and resolve customer issues. Instead, the supervisor (an older lady) showed a lack of professionalism. She took the wrong order, then tried to cover up her mistake rather than admit and correct it. Her unpoliteness left a bad impression and really tarnished the image of Texas Chicken. The food quality was just as poor. The fried chicken was not crispy, but hard and dry inside. The coating was so tough it actually scratched my mouth and made it bleed. The French fries were soaked, limp, and tasteless. With this level of service and food, it’s no surprise that the number of customers dining in seems much fewer than before, Good luck Texas!!
🍗Oct 2023 Texas Chicken offers excellent value with their affordable combo sets. The fried chicken is delightfully crispy and packs a spicy punch, making it a flavorful choice. Surprisingly, even after six hours, the chicken burger retained its deliciousness, indicating the quality and care put into their food. If you're looking for a budget-friendly meal that doesn't compromise on taste, Texas Chicken is a great option.

Read moreComplained to Texas Chicken via their website however it’s been almost 2 weeks without a reply, so thought of sharing here instead. I just visited Texas Chicken at KLIA 2, after receiving my meal I went to pour some sauce into the small plates next to the sauce. There was a cockroach crawling around the sauce bottle and small plates (for the sauce). It was a disgusting sight for this to be seen in a very large fast food chain in this country. I did tell one of the staff who was passing by and the staff used the bottle to squash the cockroach. I think it could have been handled better as the bottle used post squashing the cockroach was kept there again for the next person to use and the nozzle was still left open.
I had sat close to the trash can of the premises and noticed an additional 2 more cockroaches to be in sight. I hadn’t had my meal all day and this wasn’t the dining experience which I intended for from Texas chicken. I hope hygiene and overall restaurant cleanliness can be taken more seriously...
