I recently visited Buttermilk Daddy Cafe on a weekday at 11:30 AM, just before the lunch rush.
As noon approached, the cafe started to fill up with customers, mostly loyal patrons from nearby offices. This influx suggests the cafe is a popular lunch spot for local professionals, which is always a promising sign.
✅Ambiance and Cleanliness: The cafe boasts a cozy environment, perfect for a casual lunch or a quick coffee break. The cleanliness of the place is impeccable, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
✅Menu Highlights: For those who love buttery flavors, the buttermilk series is a must-try. The dishes are delicious and well-prepared, showcasing the cafe's specialty. In addition to the buttermilk offerings, the menu includes delightful desserts like cendol, a traditional Southeast Asian sweet treat, and tang shui, a variety of Chinese sweet porridges.
✅Sides and Extras: The sides at Buttermilk Daddy Cafe are equally impressive. The brown sugar glutinous rice cake and sweet potato balls are particularly noteworthy, offering a perfect balance of texture and sweetness.
✅Set Lunch: The set lunch options are reasonably priced and come in generous portions. Starting from 11 AM, these sets include a variety of dishes, often accompanied by a polo bun, making for a satisfying and complete meal.
Overall, Buttermilk Daddy Cafe is a fantastic spot for a mid-day meal or a sweet treat.
Its cozy atmosphere, impeccable cleanliness, and delicious menu offerings make it a standout choice for both regulars and newcomers.

Read moreFinally gave this pet-friendly café a try today after passing by many times and receiving a recent recommendation from a friend — and it didn’t disappoint. Prices are all nett after SST before 5% service charge.
KH Guide & Rating: • Accessibility: 4/5 — Easily spotted with ample parking nearby. • Cleanliness: 4/5 — Clean and brightly lit. • Ambience: 4.5/5 — Well-organized seating and a bright, open-concept layout create a welcoming and friendly vibe. • Food Quality: 4.5/5 — The herbal mian xian was flavorful, not overly salty or oily. However, the pork meatballs served with it felt slightly mismatched. The signature buttermilk fried chicken chop rice was a good value and worth trying at least once, though personally, I’m not a fan of overly buttery dishes. I gave 4.5 because the rice is the quality type. • Pricing: 4/5 — Typical café pricing. • Attentiveness: 4/5 — Service was reasonably attentive. • Would Visit Again: Yes — I’ll likely return for a more rounded experience and updated review. Perhaps during Saturday between 7pm to 9pm as the live singing is available.

Read moreWent there because of XHS recommendation. Knowing it’s a pet friendly shop , I have no issue for it. But for me the place is super stuffy and packed and all the tables and chairs are close to each others and plus there’s pet and kids around , it definitely creates a stressful environment for everyone. Maybe the space are too packed that’s why the children and the pets they feel uncomfortable and you will hear children crying shouting and dogs keep barking non stop. I been to several pet friendly restaurants whereby they are spacious and comfortable for those that bring their pets and non pets. Besides of that, I think the rice / noodle set is on the expensive side, rm25 for just noodle and the main course. They claim to use beacon chicken and omega pork, but the pork is super hard and dry and tasteless whereas the noodle is super salty and full of anjinamoto. After eating , our family feel super thirsty .
Hope the owner can take time to read the...
