A&W — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

When think of A&W, floating vanilla Ice cream in a big jug of dark root beer pops up. And the seasonal Korean style fried chicken looked attractively yummy when paring with cold root beer and fulfilling curly fires. However korean style fried chicken, to be honest, had me stop at just one piece,usually 3 at a time. Korean flavour sauce annyeong pedas marinated on fried chicken has this annoying heavy smell of fermented soy beans all over the chicken. Korean fermented soybeans has sweet gentle kick than local or china made. There was no tangy sweet spicy taste in the sauce. Wondering why eating fried chicken required plenty of ketchup is necessary. The chicken has very soft texture similar to plain dried cotton, annyeong pedas won't help. Curly fires were soggy. Root beer was light, less fizzy. No ice cream item or other desserts on delivery menu. Heartbreaking call....

Been a while eating A&W as my main meal. Usually just go there for their root beer float and curly fries only. Ordered fried chicken set, chicken sandwich and kids meal of fried chicken too.

Fried chicken are surprisingly good. Nice aroma with crunchy texture. Taste just nice enough for me where not too salty with a hint of spice.

Chicken sandwich was good too. Taste akin to McDonald’s mcchicken but the chicken are much better where it is bigger and use juicy part of chicken instead of those minced type.

Root beer float and curly fries are amazing as usual.

Overall food went beyond my expectations. Will try their beef burger for my next visit. Sorry the pic was messy as we are too hungry 😅

Will I repeat?...

I attended friend's party here and found out that they are extremely under staff. Even though the event was planned very much in advanced, they were not well prepared. Friends who attended the event had to suffer hunger and thirst. Food came only after about an hour as it was a dinner peak hour time.

I hope the management could do something about it and come out with solutions to resolve the issue as I think it does not happen to this outlet. Many outlets that I visited is the same. I don't think customer will be happy to hear that their food could only be ready in 1 hour or so as they are...
