Souper Tang @ Puchong IOI Mall — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

Short Version: I will never visit this restaurant again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Long Version: We had an extremely disappointing dining experience. We booked their RM 1668 CNY set meal two weeks in advance and even called to double-confirm on the afternoon of our reservation. On CNY Eve, we arrived at 5:50 PM for our 6:00 PM booking. After waiting 20 minutes, we informed the staff that we were ready to be served. Another 20 minutes passed, and no one even approached us for drinks. When I asked, I was told the set didn’t include drinks (which was fine), so we placed our drink order. We also confirmed with a staff member if our food was being prepared, and they nodded yes.

However, after another 10 minutes, I checked again, only to discover that our order had never been sent to the kitchen despite having a confirmed reservation. Finally, at 7 PM, the first dish arrived, followed by the Lou Shang. Shockingly, no chopsticks were provided, and after asking for nine pairs, we were completely ignored for 10 minutes. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, so being short-staffed wasn’t an excuse. The same issue occurred with the dessert, we had to remind them multiple times before it was finally served.

While these issues were frustrating, the worst part was during checkout. The cashier (a thin guy with glasses) rudely shouted at us when we tried to make separate payments for the soup package and dinner set. This behavior perfectly reflected their poor customer service.

Oh, and the food? Not even worth mentioning. The 佛跳墙, costing around RM 100 per bowl, was barely warm. I expected some decline in food quality during CNY dinners, but for a bill exceeding RM 2,000, this experience was beyond disappointing.

Honestly, I doubt the restaurant cares about this review,...
