Cook 4 U Cafe — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

The food here is quite good, and the portions are big. But the service could be better. I saw a difference in how the staff treated customers. One waitress, who seemed to be about 40 or 50 years old, was not very friendly and often spoke loudly, which made the experience worse. Another waitress, who was younger, spoke clearly and politely in Mandarin.

I understand that busy periods can be hard on the dining staff, but it's interesting that all other employees was nice, while the that middle-aged waitress wasn't. I think the dining experience is as important as the food, so I hope they will get more training or make other changes so that all guests feel welcome.

I'm hopeful that these issues will be looked at and I'm excited to come back and see the service...

Came here for family dinner, recommended by my daughter who is studying at UPM. Loads of options from local to Western and fusion selections. Big portions and value for money. We had pork chops, toasts, Nasi Lemak and Baked Rice. Serving is very fast and staff are very friendly.

Most commendable was the boss and staff's honesty. I left my laptop bag after dinner. Only realised after I got home. When called, the boss immediately explained what they did (kept the bag and tied the zips). He personally passed to me at a meeting point as the shop was already closed when I came back. I was driving by the area and noticed that this restaurant recently opened today. Once I stepped in,I noticed there were quite a lot of customers. After flipping through the menu,the food seem to be quite similar to InHouse cafe located in Puchong. (I presume they have connections)

The food here is fine, my father ordered their salmon steak and I tried their carbonara spaghetti with salmon. Both were okay,the salmon could use a bit more seasoning to make it more flavourful. The carbonara sauce could be better imo. Overall,I would return back here to try...
