6th Visit – March 2025
When a place keeps calling you back, you know it has something special. This spot, where bak kut teh and steamed fish head share the menu, has been on my list for a while now. 6th visit, and still coming back!
⭐ Atmosphere: ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
Step inside, and you’re greeted with a 90s-style, no-frills vibe – simple white lighting, old-school furniture, and an air-conditioned space. Not the coziest, but comfortable enough for a good meal.
⭐ Service: ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
Fast and efficient. Order taken quickly, food arrives within 10 minutes. No unnecessary waiting, but also nothing particularly outstanding about the service.
⭐ Food: ★★★★☆ (3.5/5)
Let’s talk about the stars of the menu:
✔ Bak Kut Teh (★★★☆☆ 3.5/5) – The herbal broth is fragrant and flavorful, but not the richest or most memorable I’ve had. Meat is tender, but I prefer a deeper, more complex broth.
✔ Ginger Steamed Fish Head (★★★★☆ 4/5) – The real winner here! Fresh, juicy fish head with loads of ginger to enhance the natural sweetness. Soft, flaky texture and no strong fishy taste—a must-try if you love fish!
⭐ Price: ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
Standard pricing—not too expensive, not exactly cheap. Decent portions for the price, so no complaints.
⭐ Parking: ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
There always have parking here
Final Verdict
✅ Will I come again? Yes! Especially for the steamed fish head. The bak kut teh is decent, but I’ve had better. If you love fish, this place is worth a visit.
📌 Best time to visit? Weekday dinner—less crowded and better parking chances.
Looking for a 5-star alternative within 20km?
If you’re after a stronger, more flavorful bak kut teh, check out Ah Soon Bak Kut Teh (★★★★★ 5/5) – super rich broth and tender pork ribs.

Read moreI got recommended this BKT place for lunch and was told that this is one of the best in Puchong. Parking spaces were relatively easy to find when I arrived at 11am and the first thing that impressed me was the cooling indoor seating because it was fully air conditioned which I thought was uncommon for BKT places. We ordered the soup BKT with mixed pork meat aside from innards and a serving of braised pork trotters as well as stir fried yau mak vege. The BKT soup was a lighter version in terms of its texture and also taste. Fans of heavier flavored BKT with stronger herb and savory taste may find this to be a little soft and mild. The pork belly and pork ribs were plentiful and the meat was tender enough. The usual additions such as fu zhuk, yau zhar kwai and mushrooms complement the pork and soup. In a similar manner, the braised pork trotters also turned out to milder in taste but the gravy was dense and the meat equally tender. I felt that the dishes here will cater to those who have a...
Read moreThe worst customer service ever!!! And the taste is so so only. My bottom front teeth chipped off badly while chewing a mouthful of rice with stone (this chipped teeth give me chills everytime I brush or take hot/cold drinks after the incident). I told the lady boss but instead of feeling sympathetic and apologetic, she accused me of complaining over a small matter and calling me bangsat (obstinate). To repair a teeth cost few hundreds ringgit. If we found a small insect in the soup and complaint, I think we would at least get a change of soup and an apology. I just don't understand how a teeth is not more important than an insect. Truly disappointed with how the owner handle...
