We came by Subang and so we gave this HK noodle shop a try. Usually our HK cha chan teng food fix is at Plaza Low Yat HK Food Culture. We ordered their beef noodles, pork meat soup hor fun and a bowl of cuttlefish balls. We also added a typical breakfast staple - ham egg toasted sandwich. We feel the taste is very much HK as local soup noodles tasted differently. The pork balls used combination of pork meat and pork stomach with pepper seasoning. It’s ok if you don’t mind the peppery taste but it’s not my kind of taste but very much edible though. The beef noodles had beef meat that were rather tough, but otherwise ok. The cuttlefish balls were smaller than usual and didn’t had that strong cuttlefish taste compared to others. The ham egg toasted sandwich was very good indeed with fluffy eggs. The HK milk tea though was a disappointment, it was very diluted & didn’t had that strong milk tea taste. I suspect they didn’t use the typical HK milk...

This actually reflects on the shop's commitment towards proper preparation of the menu dishes. We had an order of the dry beef tripe noodles and another bowl of beef tendon noodles in soup. Both the dry and soup noodles were very very good. The braised tripe was very flavourful with hints of star anise, cinnamon and five spice powder used in the seasoning. Excellent. All in all, a good lunchtime outing here. Highly...

I was expecting a rich, flavorful broth, but all I could taste was MSG. The soup was bland, with no trace of beef flavor, and left me feeling incredibly thirsty afterward. When I mentioned to the staff that the noodles were tasteless, the lady brought over a bottle of seasoning, which turned out to be Ajinomoto—unbelievable.
As for the drinks, I ordered their so-called “Hong Kong style coffee,” but it tasted just like a basic 3-in-1 coffee. The environment didn’t help either—the ventilation was terrible, and the entire place smelled bad. By the time we left, we smelled like a restaurant ourselves.
Overall, it was a horrible experience, and I’ll definitely...
