I had the worst eating experience of my life here. Just yesterday night, I went to this place taking along my brother and cousin to have some Bah Kut Teh around 9.30pm. The place was full and we managed to get a table for three somewhere around pavement of the restaurant. The two dishes we ordered, (One soup Bah Kut Teh and another dry cooked Bah Kut Teh) arrived, while one looked okay (meaning the dish looked full), the other equivalent one only looked only half full. The food portion was really terrible for the second one.
After that, the rest of the dishes arrived which included a cooked vegetable (Kailan). I ordered the small one (Menu said RM 8.00), instead of the (Large one which said RM 10.00). After we’re done, the receipt arrived. The Kailan dish, clearly indicating a small one (was charged at RM 10, instead of RM 8). So, I went to the counter to seek a reason for extra charges and I was told that the Kailan vegetable was ‘imported’ and hence it’s more expensive.
I enquired more, to know why this was not just put into the Menu and to that, the owner fumbled for an answer and opened his drawer, took out RM 2.00 worth of notes and threw it to the table. I said, please don’t throw away money like this, it’s very disrespectful – for which the owner replied “Do you want to fight with me ? Let’s punch each other” - came forward towards me, raising his chest. I told him, it is my first time here visiting your restaurant, and I’ll not come back again. To this, he replied instantly, “Don’t come back here!”.
Hence, I am still at a loss as to why ‘supposedly’ good doing business like this (based on the restaurant’s online reviews) – really have to cheat and disrespectfully handle it’s customers ? It was my first time going there yesterday, and it’s definitely my last.
I totally don’t recommend this place to anyone, and if you do, please go to this place at your own risk. Plus, in my opinion, it’s not safe for family and especially children, due to the thuggish attitude of the restaurant owner and very devious and ambiguous methods they apply to cheat the customer.
A good restaurant is not just about good food. It's also about good experience, service and environment. Although the dishes here tasted good, there are multiple other restaurants that can serve equally or better tasting food - the key here is service and customer experience - where this was a total zero.
I didn't want to rate even one star for this restaurant - but otherwise, I can't leave my review here. So, yes it's a One star,...
Read moreIt used to be my favourite BKT restaurant in Subang Jaya without need to go to Klang. Many BKT restaurants in SS14 are compatible or can win over the BKT restaurants in Klang. The special of the BKT here is the thick, dark & strong taste herbal soup. Many Indian & Chinese like to dine there especially at night. Indian customers like to bring big group of family, colleague or friends with whiskey to here. They used to sell Tsingtao, Heineken & Tiger beers. This is the only restaurant in SS14 dare to open until mid night, that’s why so many people like to dine here. But recently during my visit on 24 May 2024, the food is not tasty as last time anymore & no longer selling beer until me & another Indian customers need to walk out to buy & brought it back here to drink. Heard that the Owner uncle & his Cambodian wife no longer look after the restaurant operation here, but only come in at 3am for closing, because need to concentrate at the new branch at SS2. Last time, I did noticed that when the owner or his wife were not around, the Burmese staff will simply prepared & cooked the food, not tasty and also steal the beer to drink (according to the owner uncle). My advice to the owner uncle is, please do not dilute the standard & quality of food or your customers will run to others restaurant, since there are 4-5 BKT restaurants around your restaurant by walking distance only. Time management to look after 2 restaurants are very important, I suggested you not to pay too much attention on the new restaurant, until let the Burmese to screw up your old restaurant and close down for...

Seriously one of the worst BKT I’ve ever had. Charge RM20 per portion it’s ok but the meat given was like scraps from don’t know where. We asked for lean meat and the meat parts given is not the usual siew-yuk-cut type of meat which every BKT shop gives when you ask for lean meat. Here the parts are seriously like odd parts of the pork. The broth taste nothing like BKT, no herb taste or smell - it’s like drinking soy sauce soup.
Also ordered kampung fried rice which is a total rip off! RM10 but not a single meat, prawn, kangkung or ikan bilis - like seriously?? The fried egg that came with it was really hard and over fried, could be re-fried.
Only noticed all these when arrived home and unpacked my food.
Service was however good - staffs are friendly and helpful.
NOT coming back, first and...
