McDonald's in Malaysia is as what the typical Malaysian McDonald's franchise is and is no different from McDonald's around the world with the added benefits of the Malaysian McDonald's franchise being also Halal Certified.
However, most Malaysians are looking forward to McDonald's resuming its customary 24 hours operation nationwide as pre C19 days, now that C19 restrictions have been removed and all trade sectors have returned to normalcy.
Unfortunately, even though I'm IT savvy, I'm 100% against McDonald's and selected other fast food chain in Malaysia utilising self service Kiosks to primarily execute the respective orders. IMHO, such method can be made an option but conventional fully human operated counters to place & pay for orders should still be made a necessity for all branches nationwide just like how PLUS highways should not have completely phase out cash paying toll booths.
I've experienced several fully developed countries around the world that utilise fully electronic toll paying systems but they never phase out conventional cash paying toll booths no matter how modern their electronic infrastructure is.
Therefore, while it is undeniably good of McDonald's Malaysia and selected other companies in Malaysia to provide fully modernised and electronic methods of transactions, please do not phase out conventional and or non electronic transaction methods as there will always be the minority that are not able to utilise modern technology efficiently or are easy prey to hackers whom are always predating on such groups of the...
Read moreTLDR: Good food, helpful crews, annoying manager
Food and cleanliness is good. But this Mcdonald's has probably the most annoying restaurant manager I ever met (I presumed she was the manager as she was wearing the purple uniform - she was Malay woman, mid to late 20's).
We ordered the food from the self service kiosk, then we waited at our table with the table number for the food to be delivered to our table. The manager came and asked for a receipt, with not so nice tone. We replied that the receipt was with my brother but he was at a nearby surau. Sometimes later, she came again, asking for the receipt. Then, the food came, brought by another staff. The manager straight away checked the food right at the table. She opened (more like ripped) the rice box, she open the burger box and even checked whether the ingredients are complete, she asked me to taste my coffee etc. And what's more irritating, she jokingly said; "eh mana ada saya paksa2 minta resit, pukul kang" to me, besides keeeeeep talking while doing the inspection. What? Am i your friend or what? I know she was trying to make sure everything good, but the manager kinda overdid a little bit. I think, just deliver the food, and if there's anything wrong, the customers will let the staff know. It's that easy. We were eating at a fast food restaurant, not a five star restaurant, we don't mind going to the counter and tell the staff if there is...
Read moreI have been here multiple times as I use the KL-Seremban highway a lot . The service is absolutely horrible the workers are so slow and forget your orders at times I have had many instances with this branch where I placed an order of just two ice creams and they forget to even make it and make me wait 20 minutes until I go up to them and show them that this is what I ordered then they start making it
Like if this is the case I might as well get into the kitchen and start making my own orders
It’s called fast food for a reason it’s supposed to be hassle free and convenient not the opposite where I have to pray and hope that they remember to make my order and stand infront of their faces and keep checking whether they are making my order please conduct proper training before hiring don’t just hire whoever
Thank you I hope others can benefit...
