How do we rate an outlet fairly? This place is definitely more than 3 stars. I've walked past this outlet many times and has never been here. These past few days, this is our 2nd time here. We cannot compare this to Oriental Kopitiam or other expensive places. The price you pay is at least double from here.
This Kopitiam is a GEM! It is not the best of anything. Most food are above average, good and nice. Nothing here is the best but why a GEM? Why 5 stars? Because you can NEVER find a place like this again.
Crazy amount of variety. I would say most are "comfort food". Yes, you can complain. That's what people are so good at these days. This place is not famous because you do not need to be famous to be 5 stars. It is definitely the best at what it serves with speedy excellent service.
Really liked the White Curry Mee (instant noodles). My wife liked the Kampung Mee Hoon (RM4.60). Both are simple comfort food.
The last time we came here, we ate the toasted bread, Nian Gao and dumplings. Liked the FLAT RICE NOODLES with pickles.
Coffee is GOOD. Braised duck noodles was good. Remember, I'm not saying they have the best version, I'm saying they are 5 stars good! Nothing more to improve. Otherwise how can they survive for so long against such fierce competition?
I wish people know how to appreciate the simpler things in life. Good food, need not always be WOW! It just have to be good, enjoy it at a fair price with...
Read moreI’ve patronize quite often this restaurant and the service is just average and the food is good.
However, today’s service was so poor because when ask one of the female server (foreigner) about a dish not inside the menu, she rolled her eyes and mumbled “ooooh my gosh” softly while impatiently flipping the menu and point the dish to me. Totally destroyed my appetite and wanted to leave but continue ate anyway.
Overall, food was good and price is cheap as compared to nearby traditional chinese restaurant. But the service quality and the physical menu was way too terrible. The menu is so OLD and TORN here and the pages are just falling apart. Not to mention, the toilet is dirty and very dim.
Will think twice about...
Read moreLet me tell you the good part. Coffee- love it, don't mind trying it again 8/10. Roti Bakar- not bad, I don't mind trying that too 7/10. But here's the problem- the Curry Laksa- not my taste, maybe for others it might work but for me it was on the sweet side. The Chee Chong Fun I didn't really like it at all. Not a great fan of anchovies as a broth. I guess I'm used to the tinner type of chee Chong fun. The price is reasonable. The waiter doesn't understand a word of English when you ask them anything n bahasa Malaysia too. The waiter n the counter person is not friendly especially to indians customers ( not being racist but thats the truth) and that my friends are the reasons why I might not go there if I had...
