The service is really good! One of the waiter named Amir was meticulous serving on customers. Me and my fam came here without booking, the restaurant was quite full of customers. Thought we needed to wait longer for the seats, but he allowed us to have our seats, even though the seat wasn't that spacious.

He is really nice, always check or ask politely if the customers are fine while having their food on their seats. We ordered a Chinese New Year Prosperity Toss. Since it was CNY, Amir took care a lot to us Chinese. Not only sending regards to us, as well asking if we wanted to record videos while we do the Prosperity Toss thingy :'3 Also, I ordered a large drink Ribena with Lemon drink(I forgot the name) He brought two small cups with ice and a spoon, saying that if wanted to share the large drinks can use these. He really did lots of efforts in servicing to us as customers :'3

Amir also gives a cool and happy vibe to us, making the atmosphere more vivid, since it's Chinese New Year :')) Quite like a jokester, but love the persona bringing happiness to us.

Foods are good too! I ordered the salted egg sauce with fried enoki spaghetti. It was pretty good, never thought they put corns in it. My big sis ordered the spaghetti with basil leaves sauce. It was quite good too! I love the smell of the basil, though just a bit not salty. But overall, give a try :'3

I would recommended the cheesy burger. Damn, the cheese is just fricking good. The moment you take off the thing filled with cheese, tricking down to the burger, definitely not gonna miss this. The burger meat definitely put Shiitake mushrooms, it was good too! Recommend that as well :'3

The atmosphere is well-cleaned. Since CNY their decorations seemed attractive, families can head to take pictures. Lovely. But mostly I love the poetry written at the counter. "I love you but don't touch my food"😂 LOL

Overall, all good! :'3 Hope my review helps, have a good vegetarian meal at this...

4-7-2025 update

Decided to drop by Naughty Root again before heading back to Ipoh, this time bringing along a friend who’s a vegetarian to give it a try.

What really impressed me during this visit was the noticeable improvement in service. The waiter and waitress were polite, patient, and took their time to explain every part of the menu and ongoing promotions. It felt welcoming and attentive — definitely a big positive change from my previous visit.

The menu itself has grown too — pleasantly surprised to see they’ve added more choices, giving diners even more variety to pick from.

Food-wise, the quality and portion match the price tag. While prices are on the higher side and might not be affordable for everyone, you do get what you pay for in terms of taste and presentation.

Looking forward to come back again!

As a vegetarian, I always seek for good vegetarian food. I came across Naughty Root in one of the Facebook group. Since then, Naughty Root is in my bucket list. I still remember my very first visit to this restaurant was back in 2022. We drove all the way from Ipoh and we chose Naughty Root as our first stop. The service and food were impressive. One of the waiter, perhaps he is the owner of the restaurant, he would come over and ask for our opinion about the food and tell us his coming new planning.

However, until the most recent visit, I was disappointed with the food they served. The standard of the salted egg with soft shell crab pasta had dropped drastically. The spaghetti was soggy. The waiters or waitresses weren't attentive enough too. Perhaps lack of manpower?

Hope that improvement could be made ! My two cents! *NOTE: SOME PHOTOS WERE TAKEN...

Came across this restaurant on xiao hong shu. The food looked so real that I was thinking whether they are plant based or not🤣

We were greeted warmly by Amir, he was super friendly and he explained to us whether the dishes can be made vegan (without eggs) or not. He was also super accommodating because there was a ramadan special promo for the sides that start at 2pm but we arrived slightly earlier around 1.30pm+. So when we took the order around 1.45pm, he told us not to worry and we could still have the promo since it is just a few minutes away.

The bangers and smash was good! However, when the sauce was poured, it kinda splashed.

The nachos were delicious! Its not the usual tortilla chips, and they gave a generous amount of cheese dip!

Chicken chop was quite a big portion with loads of mash potatoes under it. The chicken was made from grilled mushroom, where it came with some side vegetable. The black pepper sauce is sweet and tasty!

Surprisingly The mala mee was the pricier ones compared to other things that we ordered. I personally feel that its not spicy enough, but I enjoyed the fried lotus root and everything in general!

Will definitely come back for more 😍

We returned the 2nd time, and the service is always very welcoming! Amir served us again and he always has a smile on his face. The matcha latte is super thick and the blackcurrant drink is so big and delicious!

The fish & chips is unique! And the mushroom soup is very fragrant!...

Stumbled to this cafe when we were searching and craving for western food in Puchong. Me and my husband didn't realised the bistro name has specifically mentioned is vegetarian restaurant but overall experience & food there was good. We went there for dinner. At first, we thought Google map had issue cuz it brought us to dark road and silent shop area.. But there were cars parked and one & only bistro cafe open in that shop row. The staff are friendly and helpful, explaining their menu when we said its our first time visit the bistro. Got live band (or I can say is solo singer) performing in the bistro. Quite packed patrons when we visited and most of them are families with kids. Despite is plant-based western food, their food quite delicious and fancy! The food does not taste "flour" kind like those Chinese vegetarian "fake meat". I heard from the staff that their chef made the food himself from scratch, instead of buying ready made or frozen vegetarian meat. The price is reasonable. Truly a hidden gem in Puchong and recommended to come if you looking for vegetarian western food.
