It is hard to find a decent Chinese restaurant near Sunway. Probably Xfrend restaurant is one of the best restaurant near Sunway. This restaurant is dishonest with the customer with their food. When we ordered the food, the waiter told us the Yong Tau fu is homemade, unfortunately it is frozen comes with dreadful sauce to dip it. The tilapia fish with nyonya sauce is terrible ( the waiter said it is their best dish - disappointed with the sauce ). Now, the waiter is supposed to tell the customer when food is not unavailable but they replace it with other veggie. The dishe we ordered is stewed mushrooms with sea cucumber ( firstly the sea cucumber is not even a sea cucumber more like watery sea cucumber and so tiny ). Secondly, they replace the broccoli with other vegetables and we asked the waiter for that reason. She said “business is too good” it sold out yesterday. Absolutely dishonest action toward the customer. It is not cheap ( if the dishes comes with the illustration picture show in the menu then we as the the customer are satisfy ). Strongly not encourage to visit this restaurant. Don’t fool by 4.2/5. It is terrible service and food....
Read moreOn first impression, it's a neighbourhood coffee house (kopitiam) offering Chinese stir fry meals (zi char) with red plastic chairs and plastic table cloth covering round tables. Indeed you do see guests ordering the favourite stir fried noodles, rice and dishes as well a bottle or two beers. We were led upstairs where the ambience was slightly better, and air-conditioned. That's important in a hot country like Malaysia. The menu was reasonably large and indeed stands out with 10 different fish dishes. There were other seafood dishes of crabs, squids, prawns and clams. Meat dishes of pork, chicken, beef, duck and even venison was on offer Others included beancurd, steamed egg dishes, vegetables and deep frieds were also offered. We ordered our favourite steam catfish (pak so kong) and wasn't disappointed as it was prepared just right. Stir fried sweet potato leaves was a tad only, but the bitter gourd soup was perfectly executed. Salt and pepper prawn was disappointing, but overall a good meal. This is part of chain and apparently doing well serving the neighbourhood family and office worker crowd. Worth...
Read moreNot first time been there. But it will be my last time too! Ordered Claypot stewed fish head this time and surprisingly it’s SPICY!!!! Due to my mum can’t eat spicy, i feedback to the waitress that why this clayout spicy, while all other restaurants that I ever eat (claypot stewed fish head) in my life is without spicy. Was replied that “yes ours is special one, come with spicy”. Thus I questioned why your menu didn’t put chili logo since yours is so special compared to other, due to common sense is claypot fish head is non-spicy..... I surprised that I was asked to order other dishes instead of they rectify the issue... in the end my mum have to eat the fish by putting the fish into the plain water (as a process to clean it). Shamed on the services given. 🙄🙄
I’m loyal customer to Leong Ah Puchong, but after this experience, I totally fade up! Hope the boss can aware and take note!!!
